The Voice crowns Sundance Head as season 11 champion during star-studded and rocking two-hour finale
Sundance Head won the eleventh season of The Voice on Tuesday night during a star-studded two-hour finale.
The 37-year-old Texan came from Blake Shelton's team, giving the country star his leading fifth win on the NBC singing competition show.
The other finalists were Josh Gallagher, 25, Billy Gilman, 28, and Wé McDonald, 17.

Sundance's final performance was Darlin' Don't Go a ballad he'd written for his wife after an argument.
In fourth place was Pennsylvania country singer Josh Gallagher, whom Adam Levine had saved from Team Blake. Third was Alicia Key's teenage powerhouse Wé, from New Jersey and second was former child star Billy Gilman, from Rhode Island.
Wé and Alicia, 35, had formed a strong bond over the past weeks.
'She has that little tiny speaking voice and that big, huge singing voice, and she's just that little munchkin that I want to eat,' Alicia said.

'Not only did I gain a coach, but I gained a sister too,' agreed Wé.
'You found my voice and gave me my voice back in a way that I never thought possible,' Billy told his coach Adam, 37.
Sundance's victory came after several top artists performed live on the season finale.

The show opened with Stevie Wonder, 66, and Ariana Grande, 23, singing Faith from the upcoming animated comedy Sing, alongside the top 12 finalists.
Josh then brought back family man Austin Allsup and raspy Brendan Fletcher to sing My Kind Of Party by Jason Aldean.
'We're all fun loving, good times kind of people,' said Josh.

Next was Academy Award winner John Legend performing his new single Love Me Now with Wé.
A montage was made of Miley's most garrulous moments.
'I can out-talk them all,' proclaimed the pop star who was dressed in an outrageous transparent ensemble with fluffy trims for the finale.

British rocker Sting, 65, also dropped by to perform his new single, I Can't Stop Thinking About You, while wearing a transparent sweater.
The Police frontman was followed by Billy, who sang Proud Mary with former contestants Christian Cuevas, Ali Caldwell, Courtney Harrell and Sa'Rayah.
'I love Proud Mary, it's an amazing power anthem,' said Billy.

Californian country singer Cam, 32, then hit the stage with Josh for Burning House.
America's Got Talent host Mel B popped in to promote the AGT Holiday Spectacular.

Canadian singer/songwriter The Weeknd, 26, performed Starboy.
Sundance got to sing Detroit Rock City with his Idols – the New York City rockers of KISS, and they got all the judges dancing to Rock And Roll All Nite.
Wé then did Kanye West's Love Lockdown, with her friends Aaron Gibson, Darby Walker and Brendan Fletcher.

Sundance resurrected single mum Courtney Harrell and country man Austin Allsup for Cole Swindell's Ain't Worth The Whiskey.
Californian musician Bruno Mars, 31, wore a bright, 1980s style outfit for his hit 24K Magic, with the Hooligans.

Alicia had been teaching Blake Shelton how to play the piano.
'He's not bad for a country boy,' she said.
The Voice will return in February with Gwen Stefani coming back as a coach for season 12 along with her boyfriend Blake, Alicia and Adam.
NBC in October renewed The Voice through its thirteenth season.
