Arnold Schwarzenegger explained during a chat show appearance on Wednesday why he's been wearing a walking boot.

The 69-year-old actor was asked about the knee-high medical boot on his right leg while visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

'Just a little pedicure mishap,' joked the former Governor of California.

The former bodybuilding champion then revealed that he wasn't sure how he suffered the injury to his lower right leg.

'I ran too long, too far, too much bicycling, too much squatting, too much whatever,' Schwarzenegger revealed.

'I haven't been this swollen since the time I was pregnant in Junior,' he quipped referencing the 1994 comedy co-starring Danny DeVito and Emma Thompson that earned him a Golden Globe nomination.

The actor debuted his new medical footwear typically used to help heal fractures last week while promoting The New Celebrity Apprentice in Los Angeles.

Schwarzenegger is stepping into the role previously filled by president-elect Donald Trump, who departed while pursuing his presidential ambitions.

The Terminator star during a photo call last week for the show defended the decision to give Trump an executive producer credit on the upcoming season of The New Celebrity Apprentice.

He also said he might have a role for Trump on the show.

Schwarzenegger said: 'I don’t think that he’s going to be co-hosting with me [but] maybe we can have him as one of the guest advisors or something like that if he has time.'

The Hollywood star also reunited with his estranged wife Maria Shriver on Tuesday to celebrate the birthday of their daughter Katherine.

Katherine posted a photo on Instagram of herself with her parents, sister Christina, 25, and brother Patrick, 23, gathered around her birthday cake.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver split in 2011 after 25 years of marriage after the actor's longtime affair with housekeeper Mildred Baena surfaced.

The actor has a 19-year-old son from his affair with Baena.
