It was an all-in Carpool Karaoke as Mariah Carey and James Corden got a little help from their friends in performing the diva's hit All I Want For Christmas.

The popular Late, Late Show segment finished with a bang with a who is who of the music industry returning to spread some seasonal cheer on Thursday night.

The segment started out as always - albeit a lot more festive - with the late show host picking up a singing star but ended with everyone from Adele to Lady Gaga to Elton John belting out the popular Christmas tune.

Heading home in a SUV packed full of presents, James told the 47-year-old star: 'Thank you so much for helping me with my Christmas shopping, just to have a different prospective on what to get.'

In exchange for her help, James asked the diva what she would like for Christmas.

A lingerie and leather clad Mariah, could not decide: 'I don't know, I don't want to ask for something that is too expensive, something too much... I want you to sing me song All I Want For Christmas Is You 

Mariah is clearly on the nice list - despite her rather naughty outfit - as she not only got James, she got a host of musical stars.

While Mariah and James kicked off the famous seasonal song, the video went from Mariah and James to Adele and James singing the song during her Carpool Karaoke segment from earlier this year, and the audience went wild.

The audience were once again left screaming as Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas took over.

Mariah's big high note finish did trip up even vocal masters Lady Gaga and Adele.

But there was no getting them down with all the stars dancing and singing away with smiles from ear-to-ear.

They did not have to worry about the high note, as Mariah finished the track off with even breaking a sweat and brought the segment to a close.
