'This one's for my buddy': Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson posts touching video for cancer stricken younger brother of Gold Coast Suns recruit Pearce Hanley

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has reached out to the cancer stricken younger brother of Gold Coast Suns recruit Pearce Hanley in a touching Instagram video.

The former WWE wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor showed his support for the brave 15-year-old, who is battling the disease in Ireland.

'This one's for my buddy Tommy Hanley,' wrote the 44-year-old alongside the clip.

'Just found out he's a huge fan, 15yrs old, living in Ireland and battling stage 4 cancer,' said The Rock.

He continued: 'I've never met you, but I already know so much about you and can tell you're an awesome, honorable and strong young man.

'Make sure you eat up dude and get your rest. Those two things are gonna help you stay strong during this fight.'

The Fast and Furious star added: 'Stay being the coolest kid and always keep in mind how much you inspire all your family and friends - including me.

'We're all pulling for you Tommy! Stay strong and Merry Christmas to you and your family.'

The Baywatch hunk finished by signing the message 'Uncle Rock aka Dwanta Claus.'

'I've never met you, but I already know so much about you and can tell you're an awesome, honorable and strong young man,' said The Rock in a video posted to social media 

Pearce later took to his own Facebook page to thank The Rock for his touching message.

'This is so incredible and cannot thank The Rock enough and to Andrias for organising,' he wrote.

'With inspiration like this couldn't be more confident in my little bro fighting the fight... cannot wait to see you in a few days Tommy boy.. Love ya.'
