It's over - and that's official.

Marc Anthony, 48, and his wife Shannon de Lima, 28, have confirmed their split - weeks after he made headlines for kissing ex-wife Jennifer Lopez on stage at the Latin Grammy awards last month.

'After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two year marriage,' the couple told Us Weekly in a statement.

'We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter.'

The pair were married for two years and have no children together.

Marc's marriage to Venezuelan model Shannon was his fourth.

Before that he was married to Lopez, and prior to that he was wed to Dayanara Torres and Maria Von Ritchie Lopez.

While the pair have only just made their split official, it was already being reported that Marc had moved on - and wanted to get back together with J Lo.

He definitely raised some eyebrows as he shared a kiss on-stage with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez late last month.

The Shades Of Blue actress is recently single herself as she split with 29-year-old dancer Casper Smart in August after five years of dating.

The source for Us Weekly claims that was a big turning point for Marc as they said: 'As soon as he heard Jennifer split with Casper, he wanted out.'

Jennifer and Marc wed in 2004, split in 2011 and finalized their divorce in 2014.

The former couple share two children together, Max and Emme, aged eight.

Uncomfortable? The last time Marc and Shannon were seen together was in August in NY at the J-Lo duet. Also there were Jennifer and Marc's eight-year-old twins Max and Emme
