Flip Or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, 35, 'dated children's NANNY, 23, after split with wife Christina'

HGTV star Tarek El Moussa dated his family's nanny after his split with wife Christina, 33, it has been claimed.

According to TMZ, the 35-year-old reality show host realised he was developing feelings for Alyssa Logan, 23, during the time she took care of the couple's two children.

The star was said to have been warned by his friends not to pursue a relationship while she was an employee.

He fired her before they began dating her in September.

However, the relationship was short-lived as the pair parted ways in October, after being seen together at a Florida Georgia Line concert.

This comes after Tarek and Christina silently decided to live separately in May after seven years of marriage before making the public announcement on Monday.

Meanwhile, the mom-of-two is reportedly dating the family's contractor, Gary Anderson, but TMZ recently noted the pair are trying to heal their relationship before calling it quits for good, for the sake of their two children.

In a further development a source close to the couple said they are working to resolve their issues and are not yet ready to throw in the towel in an effort to keep their family intact. 

The separation comes six months after police were called to the couple's home after receiving a call of 'a possibly suicidal male with a gun' who turned out to be Tarek.

On Wednesday, however, People quoted the couple as explaining that 'Tarek was going on a hike and took a gun for protection from mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes and rattlesnakes,' insisting that his 'intentions were misread.'

In an interview with People, Christina said: 'The most difficult part of the decision to separate was the kids. We want the best for them, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure that.'

The couple are parents to daughter Taylor, six, and 15-month-old Brayden.

On Thursday, the HGTV stars were seen in public together, getting a cup of coffee and appearing to be on friendly terms. 

The real estate agents looked like they were getting along and even hugged each other before leaving in separate cars.  

There doesn't appear to be bitter feeling between Tareek and Christina. The pair still plans on working together on Flip Or Flop.

'We plan to continue our professional life together by being professional, by doing our jobs well, by being prepared and by working hard.'
