Big kid Vince Vaughn grins at the peak of Splash Mountain as he takes cute daughter Locklyn for birthday treat at Disneyland

She's at the age when Christmas is the most magical time of the year.

But Vince Vaughn's daughter Locklyn had her sixth birthday to celebrate first, and Sunday was dedicated to just that.

Actor Vince, 46, took his eldest child for a special day at Disneyland in California at the weekend, to make sure her big day wasn't overshadowed by the festive season.

Water laugh! Vince Vaughn took his daughter and a friend to Splash Mountain on Sunday at Disneyland in California

And the day was especially dedicated to daddy and daughter, since wife Kyla and three-year-old son Vernon did not seem to be present.

Six-year-old Locklyn was able to bring a friend though and the two young girls were front and centre when it came to riding Splash Mountain.

Big kid Vince wasn't far behind them with a wide grin stretched across his face as the family made their descent.

Yawn: The event didn't seem to have impressed one of Vince's guests, who sat at the back yawning

Hold on: At the front, Lochlyn's little friend seemed to be clinging on for dear life

It didn't seem to have impressed everyone in the group, since their guest at the back of the party even broke into a yawn on the thriller-seeker's favourite.

Now a father-of-two, comedy veteran Vince is regularly seen at Disneyland with his children.

This time, he was looking more recognisable than of late, thanks to the new covering of hair on his head, where he was temporarily bald for the role of Bradley Thomas in the film Brawl In Cell Block 99.

Hold on tight! Vince kept a grip on his little one, all the while smiling broadly

Vince recently admitted that it was pre-schooler Locklyn who gave him the hardest time about the hair loss.

'My daughter likes to humiliate me with it,' he told Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show in October. 'She says, "Daddy has no hair".

'She's almost six, I take her to kindergarten, at which point she will pull off my baseball hat and say, "Ha ha ha, look who doesn't have any hair?"'

Here we go! It's not the first time that Vince has been to Disneyland - he's actually a big fan
