That's snow joking matter! Playful dad Hugh Jackman fires a snowball at daughter Ava as they enjoy wintry dog walk in New York
He is one of Hollywood's top actors, having appeared in an array of blockbuster movies in recent years.
But Hugh Jackman proved he was a family man at heart on Saturday, after he was seen playing in the snow with his daughter Ava.
The Les Misérables star, 48, certainly looked in the Christmas spirit as he and his 11-year-old embarked on a snowball fight during a winter stroll in New York with the family's two dogs, Allegra and Dali.

Family man: Hugh Jackman, 48, got into the Christmas spirit on Saturday as he embarked on a winter dog walk and snowball fight with his daughter Ava, 11
The Australian actor was quick to display his playful, funny side often seen in interviews as he threw a snowball at the pre-teen during their winter walk.
Keen to get involved his young girl, who showcased a dip-dye hairstyle of bright purple, retaliated by running to gather snow in her own hands in an attempt to get the Wolverine star.
The pair were the picture-perfect duo in matching puffer jackets of black and blue, before Hugh added a woolly hat to his head for further protection from the chill.

Meanwhile their dogs were not left out of the winter festivities - also being clad in adorable coats of vibrant colours to keep them warm during their walk in the snow.
Having endured such a busy filming schedule recently, doting dad Hugh appeared to be spending some quality time at home with his daughter - as wife Deborra-Lee Furness and son Oscar, 16, did not join them.
After sadly suffering two miscarriages, Hugh and Deborra adopted Oscar in 2000 and Ava soon after.

However the actor has previously spoken about the difficulty of having children of their own - but confessed his belief that adopting their children was a kind of 'destiny' and 'the way it was meant to happen'.
He told Australia's Herald Sun in 2011: 'I think any parent can relate - trying to have children is wonderful and when you feel as though that's not going to happen, there's a certain anxiety that goes with it.'
However he later added: 'From the moment we started the adoption process, all the anxiety went away. I don't think of them as adopted - they're our children.'
Happy family: Hugh and Deborra, who have been married for 20 years, adopted son Oscar in 2000 and Ava soon after
The couple met on the set of Australian TV drama Correlli and have been happily married since 1996.
However the blonde confessed she had almost convinced Hugh to reject his iconic Wolverine role - joking that she was finally admitting she had once been 'wrong', after 20 years of marriage.
When the heartthrob was first offered the role in 2000, his wife encouraged him to turn it down - with Hugh telling A Current Affair last year that Deb had thought it was 'a terrible idea'.
Iconic: Deborra recently confessed she almost convinced Hugh to reject the role of Wolverine - which he has now reprised in eight films as well as upcoming 2017 flick Logan 3
It is now arguably his most famous and successful role - having portrayed the character in a whopping eight different films.
Yet Hugh confirmed earlier this year that his upcoming film Logan 3, which is set for release in March next year, will be the last time he will play Wolverine.
Moving on to new projects after a successful run in the X Men franchise, the musical theatre star is currently shooting new flick The Greatest Showman alongside Zac Efron.
Hugh plays P. T. Barnum, the founder of the famous Barnum & Bailey Circus which was billed as 'The Greatest Show on Earth' in the early 20th century.
