Back on the high seas! Keira Knightley set to return to Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise after 'secretly' filming scenes on the Gold Coast

She achieved international fame after the first Pirates Of The Caribbean film in 2003.

Having skipped the fourth installment of the series, Keira Knightley appears to be playing Elizabeth Swann again for Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The English actress, 31, reportedly shot scenes for the movie on Queensland's Gold Coast in secret.

Fans shouldn't get too excited at the prospect of the Oscar-nominated star having a big role in the film.

Her scenes are being described as a 'small cameo during the end credits', according to TooFab.

The cameo is reportedly a vehicle for her more significant lead in the series' already-confirmed sixth chapter.

In Dead Men Tell No Tales, Captain Jack Sparrow - played by Johnny Depp - is being hunted by his old nemesis Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) and his only hope of survival is in securing the Trident of Poseidon.

In addition to Keira's return, Orlando Bloom will also be returning to his role as Will Turner in the franchise that has broken numerous international box office records.

The movie is set to be released in cinemas worldwide on May 26, 2017.
