She tied the knot under a teepee-style tent at a luxurious property in Coorabell, in Byron Bay's hinterland on Monday afternoon.

Now reports have claimed Margot Robbie was walked down the aisle by her mother Sarie Kessler after she refused to form a relationship with her sugarcane tycoon father Doug. 

It is not yet known if the father-of-four was invited to the wedding and Daily Mail Australia has contacted him for comment.

Earlier this year it was reported by New Idea magazine that the 26-year-old didn't want anything to do with the businessman after he left her mother when she was a child.

At the time, an unnamed source told: 'Anya [Margot's sister] and Margot don't want to know him.'

The tabloid also claimed the 'rich and powerful property and sugarcane tycoon' now lives just a few streets away from Margot's mum on the Gold Coast.

In March, Margot did acknowledge her relationship with Doug, telling The Sun that their contact is limited and that 'I'm not like him at all'. 

But while she doesn't hold a connection with her father, the actress' brother Lachlan does. 

Over the last few months, the stunt performer has shared images of himself and his dad, including one dedicated to Father's Day.

Doug has also shared images of himself enjoying a dinner out with his son.

It seems he has also been keeping tabs on his daughter's success, with the workman attending an Oscar's Night dinner in Queensland with Lachlan - where they supported Margot from her hometown.

He has also 'liked' the movie Focus- the 2015 crime drama starring Margot and Will Smith - on Facebook.
