NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife-to-be just threw a spectacular and spot-on 18th century Marie Antoinette-themed bridal shower ahead of their New Year's Eve nuptials.

Amy Reimann took to Instagram on Friday to thank her bridesmaids for throwing the extravagant affair for her.

Along with the tweet, she shared a photo of herself with the bridesmaids from the shower as they were all perfectly dressed in 18th century-themed long dresses and each wore coiffure-styled white wigs.

'I cant (sic) thank these beauties enough for the coolest shower ever! I think we nailed it! yall (sic) so much.#marieantoinette #bridesmaids' she wrote as the caption.

Another image that Reimann shared on Instagram showed a larger group of her shower attendees who all were dressed up in costumes for the theme.

Reimann said that it was 'so much fun' getting all dressed up with her girlfriends for her bridal shower.

The blonde beauty is set to marry the race car driver on December 31 after the couple became engaged last year in June.

Earnhardt popped the question while the couple spent time in Germany to research his family's heritage.

Reimann tweeted a picture, showing off a big new engagement ring while on the trip with her then-boyfriend.

'I'm completely overwhelmed with love & joy,' she wrote. 'Happiest girl in the world! I love you so much Dale Earnhardt Jr'

'Looking forward to the rest of my life with this amazing girl,' Earnhardt replied on Twitter at the time.

The 42-year-old appears to have popped the question in a Lutheran church where his family worshiped some 300 years ago, before emigrating in 1744.

Earnhardt, the son of seven-time Sprint Cup champion Dale Earnhardt, has never been married and has attempted in the past to keep his love life private.

However, this will be Reimann's second marriage. The 35-year-old interior designer married her college sweetheart Tommy Cook in 2008, but they separated that very year. The two met while attending the University of Kentucky, where Cook played on the football team and Reimann was a cheerleader.

As one of NASCAR's most famous drivers, Earnhardt is a celebrity in the field, and therefore has been constantly questioned in recent years about settling down.

Heritage: Earnhardt reportedly popped the question to Reimann in a Lutheran church where his ancestors once worshiped some 300 years ago. The couple pictured above in August 2014

In February 2015, Earnhardt said 'the timing's not right' for marriage in an interview on the Dan Patrick Show.

'The people we interact with on Twitter are, "When are you going to do it? Pop the question already,"' Earnhardt said. 'She gets it more than I do: People telling her all the time I need to put a ring on it. When I turned 40, it really ramped up. People are like, "Man, your time is running out. Amy is a good girl, what are you waiting for?"'

Adding to Earnhardt's years-long wait to get married is the fact that he has an unusual phobia of jewelry - going so far as to ban those close to him from wearing any.

'We've talked about it,' Earnhardt said of a possible engagement ring in February 2015.

'I'm not going to be held accountable (to wear a ring) and she can do whatever she wants.

'I figure if we ever get to that step in life, I owe her that much. I'll have to put up with (her wearing a ring). But I'm free of all my obligations in that regard.'
