Stephen Dorff's younger country songwriter brother Andrew who worked for Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw dies at age 40
Celebrated country songwriter Andrew Dorff has passed away at 40 years of age. The cause of death and other details are still unknown at this time.
The Nashville Songwriters Association International shared news of the tragic loss in a Facebook post late Monday evening.
'It is with immeasurable grief that we learn of the passing of our friend Andrew Dorff. Our songwriting community is small and close and this loss will hurt us all deeply.
Andrew is the younger brother of actor Stephen Dorff.

'Andrew was a good man and a good friend. He was an elite songwriter at the peak of his life and career.
'Our sincerest prayers go out to his family,' wrote NSAI President Lee Thomas Miller.
The hit maker - who is the son of songwriter Steve Dorff - wrote for some of country music's biggest stars including Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw.
The industry mourned his loss as the news spread Tuesday morning.

Dorff was awarded with four Million-Air Awards which honors one million radio spins each of four of his greatest records: Somebody's Heartbreak, Neon Light, My Eyes, and Save It For A Rainy Day.

He just celebrated a birthday on December 16th.
The late artist's brother, actor Stephen, stars in the upcoming film Wheeler, based around an aspiring musician who travels to Nashville to chase his lifelong dream of making it in country music.
