There's certainly no love lost for the former OC star when it comes to the reality competition show.

'I got told off by my dancer. I was supposed to control the costumes, I was told that I could do the design aspect of it, that's kind of the reason why I agreed to do it,' Barton continued about her experience with the show.

She asserts the DWTS team had been trying to get her on the show for years and made all these promises that she would have creative control when she finally did agree to it.

No collaboration: The actress claims she was promised control over some aspects of her performance, which she says she never received

'That didn't happen. It wasn't collaborative like a choreographer on a film set. … I was so confused by it,' she explained. 'It was like The Hunger Games. It was all a popularity contest. It was awful. I was so glad to get kicked off.'

Mischa was eliminated three weeks into the competition.

The former teen actress was paired with Artem Chigvintsev for the show and two struggled from the very beginning of their run on the show.

Since then, the actress is still doing odd jobs in the business.  She is currently a co-host on Esquire network's Joyride.

According to the interview, she's taken up vintage cars as a hobby to prove she has clout in the industry and deserves to be hosting the show.

She will join fellow auto fanatics rapper T-Pain, professional race car driver Brian Vickers, actor Oliver Trevena as they compete against each other to find the best new and vintage cars in a number of different categories.

The six half-hour episodes include Best Classic Truck, Best British Car, Best 80s Car, Best Car for a First Time Driver, Best Muscle Car of the 1960s and Best Midlife Crisis Car.
