Jill Duggar shares her baby joy with family photo revealing she is pregnant while husband Derick celebrates the news by firing off Pro-Life tweets that declare 'abortion=murder'

  • Jill and Derick Dillard are expecting a second child this July
  • 'Words can not describe how excited we all are that God has blessed us with another precious gift!' wrote Jill and Derick on Tuesday
  • Derick meanwhile responded by posting a Pro-Life meme which he then deleted and replaced with another that stated:  'Abortion = murder = sin'
  • The couple married in June 2014 and Jill gave birth to son Israel in April 2015
  • Jill, 25, has been vocal about her desire to have another child or adopt one so that Israel could have a sibling
  • Her sister Jessa also has a 1-year-old son who was born just a few months after Israel, Spurgeon, and is expecting her second child in February
  • Both births will likely be featured  on the third season of Jill and Jessa's reality show Counting On

The Duggar family got the best present of all this holiday season with daughter Jill announcing that she and her husband Derick are pregnant.

'Words can not describe how excited we all are that God has blessed us with another precious gift!' wrote the couple on their website Tuesday.

'We are eager for another sweet Dillard baby to join our lives, and we know Israel will be a great big brother.'

They also posted a photo standing with their son Israel who held up a sign reading: 'I'm being promoted to big brother.'

Derick joked about the post on his Twitter account, writing that there was some exciting news to share' before stating: 'If you guessed we're getting a new puppy, then guess again!'

His tweets after that were not so jovial though, including one in which he shared his excitement and wrote about how 'blessed' he was but then included an image that showed the outline of a pregnant woman's body.

An arrow pointing to the fetus drawn on the body read, 'Someone else's body. And underneath the woman it said 'NOT your body.'

That tweet was quickly deleted however and replaced with one that had the same image but no mention of Derick's baby joy.

'You shall not murder,' it said up top, attributing the quote to Exodus 20:13. Then beneath that line it read: 'Abortion = murder = sin'

Baby news: Jill and Derick Dillard are expecting a second child this July they announced on Tuesday (couple's baby announcement with son Israel above)

It's a child...: Derick, like the Duggar family, is a very vocal supporter of the Pro-Life movement, and tweeted the above meme after announcing his baby news

Replacement: Derick then deleted his first tweet and replaced it with another that stated: 'Abortion = murder = sin'

The couple married in June 2014 and welcomed son Israel in April of the following year.

In the most recent season of her TLC reality show Counting On, 25-year-old Jill spoke about her desire to have another child so that Israel could have a brother or sister.

Soon after giving birth to Israel however the family traveled to Central and South America for a year to do missionary work.

That proved to be a less than ideal place to get pregnant for the reality star, who was not only away from her siblings and parents but also in a Zika hotspot.

Jill's sister Jessa, 24, is also pregnant with her second child, and expected to give birth in February.

Jessa and husband Ben Seewald gave birth to their son Spurgeon in November of last year, almost one year to the date of their wedding anniversary.

News of that pregnancy came just nine months after Jessa gave birth to Spurgeon.

And there could be more pregnancy and wedding news for the Duggar family in the near future.

Almost there: Jessa is expecting her second child in February of next year (on left while 31 weeks pregnant with Spuregeon in 2015, at right 31 weeks pregnant with her new child

Daughter Jinger wed soccer-player-turn-pastor Jeremy Vuolo in November, and could be looking to start a family.

And daughter Joy-Anna announced in November that she had made the decision to enter into a courtship with her friend of 15 years, Austin Forsyth.

Duggar births and weddings have both proven to be huge hits with viewers.

Jinger's November nuptials marked the fourth time TLC had aired a Duggar wedding special, with the first three all delivering huge numbers for the network.

This latest special kept that trend going, with 2.3million viewers tuning in, the biggest audience the show has had since its premiere this past March.

It was not however able to surpass the 4.4million viewers who watched Jill Duggar and Derrick Dillard say 'I do' back in 2014.

That is still the most watched episode of any Duggar reality program, and a number which will likely be hard for the family to ever top.

Rumors began to swirl back in August that Jill might be pregnant after she and Derick made the decision to leave South America and move back home to Arkansas.

What's more, Duggar matriarch Michelle never went more than two years without giving birth between 1988 when son Josh was born and 2009 when she delivered daughter Josie.

More joy: Jessa also has a 1-year-old son who was born just a few months after Israel, Spurgeon (above with husband Ben and Spurgeon)

The Duggar family's penchant for procreation was a frequent topic of discussion on their former TLC show, the aptly titled 19 Kids and Counting.

Oldest son Josh and his wife Anna also have four children.

The youngest of the couple's four children, Meredith Grace, was born in July of last year, two months after it was revealed that Josh had molested five minors when he was a teenager.

Two months after Meredith's birth, Josh flew off to Illinois and checked into a faith-based rehab program when it was revealed he had an account on the adult cheating website Ashley Madison and one woman alleged that he paid her for sex.

In his absence Anna raised the children and began spending more time with Jessa and Jill while filming the family's new TLC show Counting On.

That show began as a three-part special in which Jessa and Jill were the focus, and it premiered just a few months after the two revealed that they were victims of Josh's molestation.

Josh also molested two more of his female siblings when they were minors and a young family friend.

Those three women have not spoken publicly about the incidents.

TLC has announced that filming for season three is underway, but has not given a premiere date at this time.
