'I don't mind being naked in front of people': Lara Stone reveals she is now comfortable getting her kit off for the camera... after feeling 'geeky, lanky and not attractive' in her youth

Having modelled for ten years, she has taken part in her fair share of racy photo shoots.

But Lara Stone has revealed that she really 'doesn't mind' stripping off for modelling projects - as it is nothing the fashion photographer has not seen before.

Speaking to The Edit, the 33-year-old acknowledges that the camera crew are simply doing their job, so she feels comfortable posing naked - a feat she now finds surprising after believing she was 'definitely not attractive' in her youth.

Confident: Lara Stone, 33, revealed to The Edit that she really 'doesn't mind' stripping off for modelling projects - as it is nothing the fashion photographer has not seen before

Talking of the numerous raunchy shoots she has embarked on in the past, including one which saw her lying topless beneath pop sensation Justin Bieber for Calvin Klein, she admitted: 'I don't mind being naked in front of people, that's fine…'

'On a shoot, no one is staring at the naked model. They're doing a job and they've seen it all 100,000 times before. No one's interested.'

The blonde beauty further admits that she has never felt uneasy about her appearance in the modelling world, whether fully clothed or not.

No problem! Talking of her numerous racy shoots, including one which saw her topless beneath Justin Bieber (above) she said: 'I don't mind being naked in front of people, that's fine'

She said of the brutal reputation of the fashion industry:  'Maybe I was just naïve, but I've never felt uncomfortable. All those stories you hear about fashion… Nobody told me to lose weight.'

However she did confess that the endless auditioning process can be a real knock back sometimes, admitting even she received plenty of rejections despite being one of the top models.

'The only thing that was hard was you literally go to ten castings a day and then you get zero jobs,' she explained, before adding that she has learned to look at her castings objectively and like any other job interview.

She added: 'Its a job, and if someone's looking for something and it's not you then that's fine. You should accept it.'

Brutal: She also explained that despite her confidence in the industry, it was always a knock to attend 'ten castings a day' and get 'zero jobs'

Despite oozing confidence in her array of stunning shots for Net-a-Porter's online magazine, Lara confessed that she had not always believed in her ability and allure.

Talking of her rise to fame during her school years, she recalled: 'I was scouted when I was 13 or 14… It was the most confusing thing ever – I was definitely not attractive. I was a geeky teenager; awkward and thin and lanky and weird. And I had strange teeth.'

She even faced backlash from her peers who cruelly called her names that insulted her looks - admitting that she still holds some of these insecurities despite her widespread renown.

How she's grown! Despite confident in her look now, she admitted that in her youth she felt 'definitely not attractive', and was incredibly 'awkward and thin and lanky and weird'

Lara continued: 'At school, they used to tease me: 'As if you're a model!' They called me Skeleton! Being a model was the furthest thing from my mind, ever. I'm still not sure I'm entirely qualified.'

Having made her catwalk debut for Givenchy back in 2006, Lara saw her success spiral - landing an exclusive contract with Calvin Klein before gracing the cover of Vogue Paris the following year.

She went on to win Model of the Year in 2010, and even made fashion history when she was the first model to front all three of Calvin Klein's largest campaigns.

Heights of fame: Lara made her catwalk debut in 2006 before becoming the face of Calvin Klein and being named Model of the Year in 2010

Still as successful as ever today, having shot the August cover of British Vogue last year with respected photographer Mario Testino, Lara revealed to the magazine that she much prefers being in the industry in her 30s.

'I wouldn't want to be 20 again,' she admitted. 'All the things you learn and how you grow as a person, I wouldn't want to give that up just to be young again.'

Older and wiser: She also revealed she 'wouldn't want to be 20 again' as she treasures her new-found confidence

Explaining that with age comes a higher sense of self-belief and the ability to care less about what others think, she added: 'I know who I am now. I'm more confident.'

While she still takes part in shoots for numerous of the country's biggest magazines and designers, Lara has spent less time in front of the camera since having her son Alfred.

Having welcomed her first child in 2013 with her then-husband David Walliams, the blonde beauty acknowledges how lucky she is to have a career that can accomodate precious time with her son.

She admitted: 'It must be difficult if you have to go to an office every day and only see your child before they go to bed.
