Judge orders Chris Brown to 1,000 more hours of community service but reinstates probation
Chris Brown will need to open up his schedule following some bad news from court.
A judge sentenced Brown to 1,000 more hours of community service on Friday after the Los Angeles County district attorney discovered discrepancies in the singer's previous community service reports.
Brown supposedly completed his prior 180-day community service sentence - the result of his assault case against Rihanna - but it appears that he won't get credit for those hours.
More work: Chris Brown was sentenced to 1,000 hours of community service by a Los Angeles judge on Friday
That's because the D.A. believes Brown violated his probation by submitting fraudulent reports about how much work he actually did.
In one example from the D.A., the singer allegedly was headed off to Cancun despite officially stating that he was picking up trash in Virginia.
The silver lining for the singer is that the prosecutor did agree to reinstate Brown's probation, which was revoked last month as a result of an alleged hit-and-run incident in May, which was recently dismissed.Â

Brown will now have several choices in terms of community service - he can work for Caltrans on highway cleanup, beach cleanup, probation alternative work services (PAWS) or graffiti removal, according to TMZ.
And though he was originally allowed to complete the service hours in his home state of Virginia, he doesn't have that luxury this time, as the judge ordered he be supervised by L.A. County officials.
The thought of Brown cleaning grafitti is quite ironic, considering the singer was recently spotted in Hollywood making some art of his own.
Brown now must report to a probation officer within 48 hours, according to TMZ.
