How can police services address youth crime and disorder with partners to both reduce offending and build trust with their communities?

Detective Chief Inspector JOHN PATERSON, from the Scottish Police Service presents an overview of youth crime in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city. He describes how statutory and on statutory partners are working together in a Multi-Agency Coordinating Hub to ensure resources are utilized in the most effective and efficient manner to reduce youth crime.

John Paterson is a 17-year veteran of the Strathclyde Police Force in Scotland and is currently a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University. He is currently the Head of the Prevention & Interventions Unit within the Crime & Safer Communities Directorate where he oversees policy and strategy aimed at preventing offending by young people, tackling anti-social behaviour, and managing offenders with addiction issues.
