Beyonce edges Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Taylor Swift to capture title of DoSomething's most charitable celeb of the year

Beyonce has another accolade to add to her 2016 scrapbook.

The 35-year-old beauty has been named DoSomething.org's most charitable star of the year, as part of the social organization's honoring of Celebs Gone Good, honoring famous faces who use their money and influence to support causes they deem worthy.

The Formation singer, who had a busy year promoting her album Lemonade, was hailed for her numerous efforts that impacted a number of separate people and causes.

Queen Bey: Beyonce, 36, was named DoSomething.org's most charitable star of the year for 2016 on the strength of her numerous efforts toward raising money and spreading awareness toward causes she holds dear. The singer was snapped at a charity show in October in NYC

Well-rounded: The Freedom songstress, seen backstage at the October concert in NYC, devoted chunks of her time toward education, the water problem in Flint, Michigan and the Black Lives Matter movement

Spreading awareness: The Grammy-winner invited a number of relatives of shooting victims to join her at the MTV VMAs August 28

The Houston native, in earning the coveted title, attached her name and celebrity to a number of movements through the year, including the water problem in Flint, Michigan, education and the Black Lives Matter movement.

In June, she donated $82,234 to Flint, with money she piled up via fundraising efforts touring, as she performed in Detroit on her Formation tour.

United Way Worldwide president Stacey D. Stewart said following the donation: 'We are so grateful for the support Beyonce has given to those in Flint and the way she has inspired her fans to fight for the education, health and financial stability of everyone in their communities.'

Busy Bey: The former Destiny's Child lead singer, seen here taking the stage in Cleveland November 4, clicked on all cylinders throughout 2016

On the education front, the Crazy in Love songstress was equally active.

She hosted an October charity show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to benefit the New York-based Robin Hood Foundation. In June, her BeyGood foundation awarded 14 Detroit high school students $1,000 a piece to put toward college fees.

Amid the social unrest, Beyonce gave the Mothers of the Movement - mothers, who in controversial shootings, lost their sons (Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin) - an international platform in having them accompany her to the MTV Video Music Awards.

Hamilton's Miranda, 36, made sure to give back as he basked in the glow of his hit musical, a veritable pop culture sensation.

Following the June 12 shootings at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, he collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on a single called Love Make the World Go Round, the proceeds of which went toward Proyecto Somos Orlando, a charity to help the victims and survivors in the tragic incident.

Using his platform: Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame was among the first to speak out on the Orlando shooting, taking the stage at the Tony Awards in June. Here, the musical maven was snapped in London November 20

Prior to that, Miranda received huge plaudits for a speech he gave in the immediate aftermath of the shootings at the Tony Awards, reciting a sonnet he wrote that said, 'Remembrances that hope and love last longer ... and love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love.'

Swift continued her long and storied history of philanthropy, in August donating $1 million to those impacted by Louisiana flooding.

Sterling rep: Taylor Swift, 27, continued putting her time and money toward charitable causes in 2016, including a $1 million donation to flooding victims in Louisiana. The songstress took the stage October 22 in Austin, Texas
