'The only way is up!' Katie Price suggests she's already hit 'bottom' in sleepless Christmas tweets... after vowing to give up alcohol for a year

She vowed to stop drinking for the entire duration of 2017 after a shocking drunken outburst involving her disabled son Harvey.

And Katie Price appeared to suggest she had already hit 'bottom' in a series of sleepless tweets in the early hours of Christmas morning.

In one post directed at alcoholic ex-footballer Kenny Sansom, the Loose Women star wrote: '@KennySansom03 I'm in bed everyone asleep! Once you hit bottom the only way is up! NEVER give up #forgetbooze #newfamily2017'

Katie was responding to an interview Sansom gave to The Daily Mirror on the day before Christmas Eve in which he said he wanted to end his life, admitting he is unable and unwilling to quit the booze.

'I don't feel like I've got anything left to live for,' he told the newspaper. 'I want to forget my life. I can't handle life any more. If I could end it now, I would.'

Katie's response to Kenny came amid other tweets where she fretted about creating the perfect Christmas Day.  

'Everybody is asleep,' she wrote. 'I can't sleep as want everything perfect.'

'I'm the only one awake after taking harvey to the loo!' she added.  'I have horses etc to feed before kids breakfast then The Christmas Day begins.'

Katie is mother to Harvey from her relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 11, and Princess, 9, from her marriage to Peter Andre, and Jett, 3, and Bunny, 2, from her current marriage to Kieran Hayler. 

Harvey suffers from rare condition Prader-Willi syndrome, and also has ADHD and autism.

Katie's vow to quit booze came after she was captured on camera giving a rambling speech at a Christmas party she had been hired to attend earlier this month.

In a recording of the event, Katie was heard saying: 'I love all my kids, even though Harvey... anyway. Whatever.'

The mother-of-five was paid £13,000 to host the EnergySave Christmas party in Derby, though Katie was also accused of embarrassing herself by stripping in the toilets on the same night.

A second video showed the worse-for-wear 38-year-old stumbling around before lifting her dress up to reveal her bare breasts.

Despite trying to deny her foul-mouthed rant, Katie admitted during an appearance on Loose Women that she's a 'nightmare' when drunk.

Confessing that it doesn't take many drinks for her to feel inebriated, Katie said she's never tried going sober for a long stint without being pregnant.

She said: 'It’s taken me 38 years to do this. I’ve never done dry January and I’m not going to drink for the whole year. 

'When I’m pregnant I can do it it’s just one year out of my life,' she said, adding: 'When I drink I’m a nightmare!'

She added: 'I don’t drink at home. Two glasses of champagne gets me [drunk] but I stay all night chatting to people. 

'I’m not a rowdy drunk. I'm not even naughty. I'm going to do it [quit] for a whole year and prove you all wrong.'
