'About to get up out of here for real:' Nick Cannon says he is getting stronger after checking himself into the hospital for Lupus complications

Nick Cannon is staying strong during his stay at the hospital.

A little more than a week ago, the TV personality checked himself into Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital due to complications with Lupus.

On Wednesday, he posted a video to Instagram where he tells his followers that he's not leaving the bed yet, but he's getting better.

Recovering nicely: Nick Cannon gave an update on his hospital stay due to Lupus complications in an Instagram post on Wednesday. He said he's taking it to a 'whole new level.'

Gracious for love: The TV star mentioned how grateful he is to his fans who've been sending him positive words of encouragement

'I got so much for ya'll. Thank you so much,' the 36-year-old said in the video. 'I'm still in this hospital, but I'm about to get up out of here for real, and I'm letting you know, we're about it to take it to a whole new level.'

Nick sported a black Nike sweatshirt with a matching hat and colored beads coming out from underneath.

He added that he's about to gather so much strength that he'll be compared to a superhero.

'Iron Man strong:' The 36-year-old said his strength is increasing to the point where he'll become like a superhero

'I'm sitting here just getting stronger,' he said. 'Iron Man strong, Incredible Hulk type strong.'

In the caption, he wrote how thankful he is to everyone who's been wishing him well.

'Thank you for all the love, care and prayers,' Nick wrote. 'Lets Go!! We are all Ncredible!!!'

It'll be okay: The father of two revealed last week on Instagram that he checked himself into the hospital over his illness, but he plans to be out before New Year's

When the America's Got Talent host checked himself into the hospital, he posted an Instagram photo that shows him strapped up as the doctors prepare to help him.

Even though he had to spend Christmas there, it looks like he doesn't have to be there for much longer.

'Doctors say I will be back to normal before the New year,' Nick wrote in the caption. '#LupusSucks #ncredible #warrior'

Daddy love: The California native told Entertainment Tonight that he was going to spend the holidays with his twins Morrocan and Monroe. Here he is in Beverly Hills, California last March

The former husband of Mariah Carey spoke to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month on what his plans were for the holidays. He mentioned he would be spending time with his twin children Morrocan and Monroe, 5.

'Holidays are mainly for kids anyway, when you think about it,' Nick said.

'Once you go from kids, it's all about family and love and that's what we're trying to spread.'
