A woman’s seemingly irrepressible desire to buy some Steve Madden shoes from a store at a South Florida mall, which happened to be closed, has resulted in an epic brawl that was caught on camera.

The footwear-related fracas broke out at around 5.30pm on Wednesday at Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise and involved a manager at the Steve Madden store and a Swiss tourist.

Cellphone footage of the violent showdown, recorded by local radio personality Andy Slater and later shared on Twitter, begins with the clash already in progress.

Mad for Madden: When a worker at a Steve Madden store at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Florida tried to stop a Swiss tourist from entering the already closed business Wednesday evening, a fight ensued

Shoe store showdown: The blonde customer took offense when the male employee physically blocked her entrance into the store

Undeterred: When the store clerk warns the persistent woman that police are on their way, she says in response that she does not care

Waterworks: When a female manager gets involved in the altercation, the irate tourist pours water in her face

Slater, of 940-AM WINZ and iHeartRadio, explained in a tweet that the store was not letting anyone in at the time, but the tourist took offense and claimed that she was being discriminated against.

The recording shows the enraged customer, an unidentified woman with flowing blonde hair wearing a flowery blouse, attempting to force her way inside the store but is physically blocked by a male employee.

A female store manager then walks up to the door while talking on her cellphone and asks the irate shopper to back away, prompting the tourist to shout in accented English, 'I'm not doing anything to you!’

The male store clerk continues to firmly keep the shopper at bay and warns her that police are on their way, to which she replies, 'I don’t care!'

The manager lands a second blow before her co-workers drag her back into the store

Legal action: Having been locked out of the store, the outraged customer screams at the manager that she's crazy and threatens to sue her for punching her

At that point, the conflict quickly escalates, with the customer drenching the store manager with water from a plastic bottle in her hands and smacking her.

The soaked manager then retaliates by punching the shopper twice in the face before her colleagues drag her back into the store and shut the glass doors in the tourist's face.

Surrounded by a small crowd of jeering onlookers, the Swiss visitor bellows at the manager, 'You hit me like a crazy! I'm going to sue you! Who do you think you are?'

The Steve Madden store remained shuttered for several hours in the wake of the fisticuffs, reported NBC Miami.

The Sunrise Police Department said no arrests have been made in connection to Wednesday’s altercation.
