Prince Laurent of Belgium and his wife Princess Claire were pictured visiting his mother, Her Majesty Queen Paola of Belgium, in hospital this evening.
The couple brought their three children, Prince Aymeric, 11, Prince Nicolas, 11, and 12-year-old Princess Louise, along with them, so they could visit their grandmother.
Queen Paola, 79, was hospitalised at Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc hospital in Brussels yesterday after suffering a vertebral fracture caused by a fall.

The Belgian Royal Court announced her injury and hospital admission yesterday, adding that while the fracture did not cause any neurological complications, her recovery would probably take several months.
It is a much more revealing statement than those released on previous occasions.
In 2015, Queen Paola was admitted to hospital after a holiday to Italy. It was announced that she had to cancel a planned visit to the Biennale in Venice, but further information was kept private.
Some newspapers believed that the queen suffered from a stroke at the time, but this was not confirmed.

Prince Laurent, 53, Princess Claire, 42, and their children looked composed on their way to the hospital, wrapped up warm to face the chilly sub-freezing temperatures.
Princess Claire and the children were dressed in navy jackets and jeans, while Prince Laurent opted for brown trousers and a black coat.

Queen Paola married the then Prince of Liège (also the former King Albert II) on 2 July 1959 at the St. Goedele Cathedral in Brussels.
She was Queen of the Belgians from 1993 until her husband's abdication in 2013 in favour of their eldest child Philippe.
The couple has three children, Philippe (the current King of the Belgians), Astrid and Laurent.
