Boy in blue! Mark Wahlberg, 45, shows off his bulging muscles while splashing around in Barbados

It may be the middle of winter, but it doesn't look like Mark Wahlberg is getting the blues anytime soon.

The 45-year-old actor looked fit as a fiddle, baring his abs on vacation in Barbados Wednesday.

Wearing a pair of striking blue swim shorts, the Patriot's Day producer showed off a new hair cut while spending time with his family.

Mark embraced ocean blue shorts for the third day in a row during his Caribbean vacation with wife Rhea Durham and their four children.

The Boston-born star showed off his broad shoulders and buff arms in front of red umbrellas. 

Sporting freshly trimmed hair, the former model paused before walking into the warm ocean.

The five-foot eight-inch tall star slowly entered the crystal clear ocean, taking his time to enjoy the winter waves.

Turning around, the Deepwater Horizon star's muscular back looked like it could enjoy a few more seconds in the Barbados sun. 

You could spot a handsome waterproof watch keeping time on the star's wrist.

On the beach, Mark played double duty as both lifeguard and dad. 

He helped his son Michael enjoy the winter waters while keeping a close eye on the incoming waves.

His wife, former Victoria Secret model Rhea Durham, and three other kids enjoyed the sun and shade out of the camera's sight.

Mark is taking a much deserved break before embarking on a packed 2017.

Next year he appears in Transformers: The Last Knight, the latest chapter in the explosive space-robot franchise from director Michael Bay. 

He'll also appear in the comedy sequel Daddy's Home 2 and will produce a newly announced film called The Roman.
