'But because he will be inaugurated as the next Republican president in January, these same mega-celebrities... want no part of it.'

The mother-of-two said that nearly all of the musicians approached by Trump's transition team had turned them down, either down to their own political beliefs of for 'fear of backlash.'

'Isn't it amazing how 'not cool' it is to be conservative in the public eye? Either Hollywood is that far off – or we have so many sissies we have in the spot light too scared to stand for what they believe in!'

Some of the world's biggest performers have made it clear they have no plans to perform at the January 20 inauguration.

Trump's transition team faced major embarrassment after Anthony Scaramucci, who is a member of Mr Trump's transition team, wrong claimed that Sir Elton John would be playing at the event.

Iconic diva Celine Dion said she would not perform at the Trump celebration, despite an intense lobbying effort from Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn

The singer swiftly corrected him, saying: 'I don't really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign,

'I'm not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f***ing Nugent? Or one of those f***ing country stars? They'll do it for you.''

Palin was quick to point out on her blog that 'Elton was wrong.'

'Not every country superstar is willing to sing for Trump. Garth Brooks seemed like a shoe-in (sic) but eventually backed out. However, Brooks and his wife, fellow country legend Trisha Yearwood, had no problem singing for President Obama at this year's Christmas tree lighting celebration.'

It's not clear whether John Legend was asked to perform but he made clear what his answer would be.

'Creative people tend to reject bigotry and hate,' Legend told the BBC. 'When we see somebody that's preaching division and hate and bigotry, it's unlikely he'll get a lot of creative people that want to be associated with him.'

Kiss, playing in Beverly Hills in April, will not be rocking on the stage in D.C. after turning Trump down

Iconic diva Celine Dion said she would not perform at the Trump celebration, despite an intense lobbying effort from Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn.

Wynn had told the Donald he'd be able to deliver Dion, but the 48-year-old singer was forced to tell him to think twice.

The casino magnate also unsuccessfully attempted to recruit Garth Brooks, who formerly inked a residency contract with Wynn, to play at the event, sources told the outlet.

Others to reject offers to take the stage at the internationally-broadcast event include famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli and rock legend Elton John.

The famed rock band Kiss was confirmed not to be playing the event, Gene Simmons' wife Shannon Tweed told TMZ. Simmons added the band was slated to be on a European tour coinciding with Trump's swearing-in.

The president-elect proclaimed he only wants 'the people' at his swearing in, which is scheduled for January 20 in Washington D.C.

'The so-called 'A' list celebrities are all wanting tixs (sic) to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING. I want the PEOPLE!' Trump tweeted.

Mark Burnett, who produced Celebrity Apprentice for Trump, is in charge of putting together the inauguration, the outlet reported, noting that respected talent booker Suzanne Bender has been added to the team amid Trump's impatience with its early struggles to procure big name performers.

Boris Epshteyn, who is working as communications director for the inauguration, told the outlet via email that 'first-class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events,' promising 'an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy.'
