Selena Gomez has new music on the way.

Mexican pop diva Paulina Rubio, 45, announced earlier this week that her forthcoming album features collaborations with the 24-year-old international pop star.

Speaking to Vanidades magazine, the Si Te Vas songstress revealed that her album will be released in 2017 and will spotlight Gomez, who is of Mexican descent.

The mother-of-two - who has already released three songs from the upcoming album - said: 'My new album is like another member of the team, or the family.

'It will be a true warrior, has something from all genres, from band to pop, collaborations of DJ Snake and Selena Gomez.

'I tried to keep a key element: That the music is danceable.'

Gomez has previously collaborated with DJ Snake - who's also behind ex boyfriend Justin Bieber's Let Me Love You - herself for Major Lazer's song Feel Good.

Just last week, songwriter Justin Tranter posted a photo of Gomez with the caption 'Music and love,' leading fans to speculate the two are working on new music together.

Tranter and fellow songwriter Julia Michaels have worked with Selena to create several hits such as Hands to Myself and Good For You.

Selena's last album was 2015's Revival, her second studio album.
