Feud breaks out over George Michael's 'lost' love song after his boyfriend shared the ballad in a poignant tribute but estate's lawyers demand fans shouldn't hear it
- Fadi Fawaz shared unreleased 'This Kind Of Love' song with fans on Twitter
- But his link to the song was later removed and replaced with another message
- Lawyers for the star's estate are demanding the song be removed from the web
- They say that 'exploitation' of the song infringes the singer's property rights
George Michael's grieving boyfriend has taken down a link to a love song he posted in tribute to the tragic star amid a legal row over property rights.
Fadi Fawaz shared the singer's unpublished 'This Kind of Love' ballad with fans yesterday morning - prompting many to call for the song to be officially released.
But the hair stylist has now removed the link as lawyers for the star's estate attempt to have the song wiped from the internet.
Fadi Fawaz shared an unreleased song by his boyfriend George Michael with fans yesterday in a touching tribute to the star he found dead on Christmas Day
This tweet - which was posted yesterday morning - was later taken down, amid calls by lawyers for the star's estate to keep the unauthorised version off the internet
Fadi instead posted this message yesterday evening, pointing out that the song was widely available for the singer's fans to hear elsewhere online
Fadi, 43, directed fans to the 'lost' love song as part of an online tribute to his boyfriend, with the message 'My Baby'.
The song includes the tragic line: 'Now everyone has to get over I know, but this empty house seems to get colder and colder.'
More than 100,000 people have now listened to the song - said to have been produced with Elton John in the early 1990s - on YouTube and similar websites.
It is understood lawyers for George Michael's estate are attempting to have the song removed from YouTube and other websites, citing intellectual property rights.
Those in charge of the estate insist the star did not want the song released and 'unauthorised reproductions' are an 'exploitation of the material'.
It is unclear whether the star's family are behind the move, but Fadi removed his link to the song hours after he posted it online.
Fans have continued to visit Michael's north London home to lay flowers and messages
His death on Christmas Day has prompted a huge outpouring of emotion among music fans

Fadi then posted another message, apparently aimed at those trying to prevent fans from hearing it.
He wrote: 'The song I posted was found online they are many versions of it, please do your research if u think you r professional in what u do.'
'This Kind of Love' is from the unreleased album Trojan Souls, which was due to go on sale in 1993 but was never finished, reportedly due to another legal wrangle.
After Fadi posted it online yesterday, fans called for it to go on sale in the wake of the Michael's shock death on Christmas Day.
Emma Strickland wrote: 'The unfinished Trojan Souls album...what a gift that would be right now...such remarkable music, such a remarkable man...no words.'
Danni Michael added: 'This song must be edited. There are a lot of George's fans that don't know it.'

The song posted online is understood to have been written by Michael and Elton John
Michael is believed to have three unreleased albums. As well as Trojan Souls, there is reportedly another called White Light, which was set to be released after Michael performed the title track at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
Another collection, said to be a dance album follow-up to the 1990's Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1, was reportedly scrapped during a dispute with Sony.
Fans are desperate to hear whether any unheard material is now due to be released.
Fadi found Michael dead in bed at the age of 53 on Sunday, after arriving at his Oxfordshire cottage. The singer is understood have suffered heart failure.
Hundreds of fans have since travelled to the village to lay flowers and tributes, while others have gathered outside Michael's London home to sing songs and light candles.
