He may have developed a reputation as a bit of a bad boy over the past few years, but Justin Bieber is clearly a big softie at heart. 

The 22-year-old singer carried several buckets and spades as he prepared to make sandcastles with his little sister Jazmyn, eight, during his holiday in Barbados. 

The shirtless star showed off his toned tattooed torso as he joked with Jazmyn on their stroll.

Jazmyn and her little brother Jaxon, seven, are the children of Justin's dad Jeremy and his ex-partner Erin Wagner.

Jeremy is now engaged to girlfriend Chelsey Rebelo who brought her daughter Allie on the Caribbean trip.

Justin has also spent time instructing Allie and Jazmyn on their yoga moves, with the trio seen stretching on top of a private boat on the Caribbean island.

Justin Beiber is the latest in a long list of celebrities to spend the holidays sunning themselves in an exotic locale.

The Sorry singer joined his little sister Jazmyn in Barbados for a little R&R and he flaunted his enviable abs in nothing but a pair of swim trunks by Solid & Striped.

Justin clearly gets on well with his siblings and has made no secret of the fact that he'd like to have a family of his own one day.  

'I’d love to be settled down by the age of 30,' he told Glamour magazine in an interview earlier this year. 

And when asked by the publication about his 'biggest dream,' he said: 'To have a family of my own.'

The singer spent Christmas in Los Angeles on a break in his gruelling Purpose world tour.

He performed his last date in London last month and will pick up the tour in mid February in Mexico  - the tour runs until September 2017.

Meanwhile, one of the star's previous hits - 2011 song Mistletoe - has been enjoying a resurgence due to the Christmas season. 

'That time of the year. Mistletoe is currently the most streamed UMG song on Spotify. Thanks,' he tweeted last month.
