'Peace out 2016!' Jessica Alba ends the year exploring Hawaiian rainforests with her loved ones

Jessica Alba's 2016 is ending the way she spent much of it: surrounded by family and friends.

The mother-of-two on Saturday shared on Snapchat her adventure on the Hawaiian island of Kauai alongside her husband Cash Warren; daughters Honor, eight, and Haven, five; bestie, charity organizer Kelly Sawyer; and others.

The Sin City beauty shared a series of sequences as she and her inner circle trekked for four hours though the tropical rain forests of the island, chronicling each phase on the account in brief snippets.

The Dear Eleanor actress on the outing wore a black baseball cap; two tops - one with horizontal patterns, one black - with sunglasses, alternating between shorts and patterned black draped pants.

The Pomona, California native, 35, shot video of outdoorsy fun the group enjoyed while on their journey, which included heart-racing thrills such as raft rides, bridge-crossings and zip-lining.

The Fantastic Four actress cheered on her husband and two daughters as they took part in the latter, traveling a sizable distance while affixed to the pulleys traveling on cables suspended across the area.

The Veil star also shared with her followers shots of the happy group, her muddied legs amid the wilderness walk, and shots of her both walking and dancing on a bridge.

And since it was New Year's Eve, there was a bottle of rosé wines circulating around, as the Mechanic: Resurrection star shared a shot of herself and Sawyer enjoying a drink as the final sands of 2016 poured through the hourglass.

She wrote on Instagram in a caption accompanying the shot, 'Drinking wine w mah boo @kellysawyer on a trek through the Hawaiian jungle, can't think of a better way to peace out 2016! Cheers,' adding emojis of a wine glass and stars to ring in the new year.

It's been another strong year for Alba, who continues to thrive as a parent, actress and businesswoman, as her housewares organization, The Honest Company, is estimated to be worth upwards of a billion dollars.
