Beat It, Donald! Quincy Jones says he WILL NOT attend Trump's New Year's Eve bash... just hours after the president-elect's team said he was a confirmed guest

  • The president-elect is holding a huge celebration at the Mar-a-Lago in Florida
  • Trump's team said legendary producer Quincy Jones would party the night away
  • But Jones' team has said it has no idea where Trump got that information from
  • Sylvester Stallone was another big name said by the Trump's camp to be going
  • Jones is a Democrat who endorsed Hillary Clinton in both of her presidential runs; Stallone says he's not a Republican even though he backed John McCain
  • Trump's wife Melania and son Barron will be there, along with 800 other guests
  • The Mar-a-Lago club sold tickets to the event and it is reportedly 'sold out'

Legendary music producer Quincy Jones is not attending Donald Trump's New Year's Eve bash, despite the president-elect's team claiming he was just hours earlier.

Jones had been named by Trump's spokesman Sean Spicer as one of the 800 people attending the celebration at the Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

But it appears as though the Trump camp hadn't checked Jones' RSVP closely enough, as a spokesman for the 83-year-old was forced to deny the alleged attendance.

Jones’s spokesman, Arnold Robinson, told Variety not only is the iconic star not attending, he did not know where Trump's team got the idea he was from.

Jones is a Democrat who endorsed Hillary Clinton in both of her presidential runs.

The 27-time Grammy award winning artist maxed out to her campaign this year.

Another celebrity slated to attend is 'Rocky' star Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone backed John McCain in 2008 but told Variety earlier this year he doesn't consider himself a Republican.

And while he told the trade publication, 'I love Donald Trump,' he couldn't quite picture the billionaire as president.

Trump's team had claimed 'Rocky' star Sylvester Stallone and music producer Quincy Jones were down to attending the New Year's Eve bash at the Mar-a-Lago

Jones, a Democrat who endorsed Hillary Clinton in both of her presidential runs, was quick to deny the reports he was attending Trump's party

'He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life. But I don’t know how that translates...to running the world.'

Earlier on Friday, Trump spokesman Sean Spicer says the president-elect's wife Melania and their 10-year-old son Barron will be there at the party, along with 800 guests.

Spicer told the event kicks off with a cocktail hour and will have dinner and dancing.

He also said the event is 'sold out' – revealing that Mar-a-Lago sold tickets to the event.

Roughly 800 guests are expected to attend the soiree that begins with a cocktail hour and will have dinner and dancing
