Shia LaBeouf and partner Mia Goth shun Hollywood glamour as they step out in low key baggy ensembles to run LA errands

He has starred in Hollywood blockbusters including Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

But Shia LaBeouf looked a far cry from the typical Hollywood A-lister as he stepped out with partner Mia Goth on Friday. 

The couple, who performed a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas back in October cut particularly casual figures as they ran errands in Los Angeles.

Wearing her auburn hair in a ponytail, make-up free Mia sported a denim jacket over grey jumper, black jeans and white plimsolls. 

Shia, meanwhile, sported a blue baseball cap, navy blue sweater and slouchy grey tracksuit bottoms, while holding on to an armful of books.  

The actor and Mia unofficially married in Las Vegas back in October, with the wedding chapel in Las Vegas live-streaming the ceremony online.

But during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Shia said that he had no idea the ceremony was being broadcast.

'The plan was for it to be a private deal,' he said when quizzed about the nuptials on the talk show.

'I said, "We don't really need that as a matter of fact. We’ll just take our private tape. We got our Moms there" and they said no problem,' he explained.

'We get back home and it’s like, whoa.... hey listen, something changed! I call them up and they said somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ.'

Shia told Ellen that both he and Mia's parents were at the ceremony and it turned out that because of the live-stream, their dads were able to tune in and watch too.

'We’re proud of it. It was love,' he said.

The couple met four years ago on the set of Nymphomaniac: Volume 2.

However, TMZ posting the video led to speculation that the whole event was a piece of performance art by Shia.

He and the 23-year-old actress got the 'King Tut' package at the Viva Vegas Wedding Chapel, the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star told the chat show host, and said their I do's on Monday October 10 in front of an Elvis impersonator.

The mystery deepened when two days later, Clark County officials tweeted: 'Our records show no marriage license for Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth. A commitment ceremony was performed #Vegas.'

'We were getting media inquiries & it’s a matter of public record,' a second tweet explained.

But Shia says it wasn't an performance art stunt, insisting that he wasn't 'messing around' on this occasion.
