And maybe a little bit TOO hot for Kathy Griffin, who showed off some serious sweat patches on Saturday night.

The 56-year-old obliviously seeped through her tight grey sweater while co-hosting the annual CNN New Years Eve countdown with Anderson Cooper.

The normally well-prepared comedienne clearly didn't realise she had forgotten to wear an undershirt as she waved, gestured and flailed her arms, parading her pouring pits.

Her co-host Cooper also had no idea, his infamous nervous giggle verifying he was too scared to even lock eyes with his acerbic partner.

Without mentioning her wardrobe malfunction, Kathy returned to screen after a cutaway with a newly acquired black feather boa in a last ditch attempt to hide her soggy armpits.

Ironically, Kathy was pumping perspiration just as she was discussing how cold it was outside.

In fact she was skeptical any 'real New Yorkers' would suffer the low temperatures, insisting that gathered below 'they are all Asians'.

Twitter was of course quick to point out the fashion faux pas, with some complimenting the attempt to cover up with the accessory, but more insisting it didn't quite have the girth to conceal the spreading stains.
