Christina El Moussa took to social media on Saturday to reflect on her 'crazy year.'

Just hours ahead of 2017, The 33-year-old Flip Or Flop star shared the top nine photos on Instagram from over the year, which were a majority of her two kids.

'2016 has been a crazy year of highs and lows. A lot of things have changed but one thing will always remain a constant in my life and that is the love I have for our children,' the reality star wrote.

She continued: 'Their genuine happy spirit is always the light at the end of the tunnel. May 2017 be a start to a fabulous year ahead and bring happiness, peace, joy and new adventures to you all.'

The mother of six-year-old daughter Taylor and one-year-old son Brayden was sure faced with an eventful year after separating from her husband and reality co-star, Tarek El Moussa.

The pair went public with their announcement in October, although they split in May of this year.

Memories: Th 35-year old reality star shared a slideshow of his 2016 memories, reflecting on his personal journey

The 35-year-old star also took to Instagram on Saturday sharing a slideshow of his 2016 moments.

He wrote: 'Today signifies they end of another year. It's a time where we all reflect on our own personal journey. Looking back we must ask ourselves what we did right and what we did wrong. It's a time to look back and ask ourselves if we took advantage of the year we will never get back.'

He continued: 'For me... 2016 was the biggest defining year of my life. It was a year that will change the destination of my life and I'm ready for the ride. The crazy ride of 2016 taught me so much about myself. Today, going into 2017, I've learned i'm much stronger than I ever thought possible and the lessons I learned in 2016 will stay with me through the rest of my life. I truly believe in all these words and I urge everyone to look back and ask yourself what lessons can you take from 2016 to make 2017 the best year ever!! HA.'

Split: The couple announced their split in October, but secretly have been separated since May; their reasons were largely due for the sake of their children

The split followed an incident when police were called to their property following 'a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun,' TMZ reported.

Tarek denied being a danger to himself and said he was carrying the gun during his walk in the woods to protect himself from bobcats and coyotes.

'Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed,' they said in a statement.

Christina, who confirmed with Tarek they dated other people since the split, began seeing the family's contractor Gary Anderson - who was present at the home during the time the cops were called.

Tarek was also reported to have a brief relationship with the family’s former nanny.

While the HGTV show is continued to run, E! News learned the new episodes will be filmed in 2017 only to fulfill 'contractual obligations,' with the source saying, 'the show will end after that.'
