Miss Downey will marry Jakob Seger (inset with Miss Downey) later this year and said her 'whole world has been opened up' thanks to a special leg brace she was able to buy after raising money online. Her first steps were filmed in a heart-warming video (left) that caused many of her family members to cry with joy.
