'I get to love him forever!' Bachelor vet Selma Alameri marries Patrick Daniels in intimate city hall ceremony after six month engagement

She made it as far as week six on season seventeen of The Bachelor, even though she declined to kiss Sean Lowe during their romantic date in Joshua Tree.

And now, over three years later, former contestant Selma Alameri is a married woman. 

The real estate professional married fiancé Patrick Daniels after a six month engagement in city hall in San Diego on Thursday, according to Us Weekly

And Selma took to Instagram share with her fans moments from the intimate ceremony.

'It's official!!! Mr. and Mrs. Daniels!!', Selma captioned a shot of her being tenderly kissed on the head by her new husband.

For the special occasion, Selma married in a beautiful, fuss-free white dress with glossy accents and a modest knee-length hemline.

She wore her brunette tresses down and carried an arrangement of red and white flowers for her bouquet.

Following their nuptials, the couple celebrated over a beverage beside an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. 

'I get to love him forever and ever!', she captioned a photo of herself gazing up at her new husband. 

Patrick popped the question to Selma just six months ago, and the reality star took to Instagram share the news by sharing a photo of her jaw-dropping diamond engagement ring.

'He promised me forever!!' she gushed in the caption.

Explaining their reason for marrying in city hall, Selma told Us Weekly:  'Everyone got involved and had an opinion and family started to argue — we really didn't want all that, we just wanted a peaceful, comfortable and smooth wedding.

The star refused to kiss the show's 'bachelor' Sean, who went on to pick and marry Catherine Giudici, and revealed she rejected his advances because she didn't want to offend her Muslim family. 

'I can’t kiss you,' she told Mr Lowe after a day of rock climbing. 'My mom — she's very strict in her culture.' 

The dating contestant continued: 'We’re not even allowed to date, basically — not that we're not allowed to date.

'Obviously we're allowed to date… In our culture we sort of keep it secret from everyone.' 

Chris Harrison, the host of The Bachelor, elaborated on Miss Alameri's refusal to kiss Lowe, telling Entertainment Weekly: 'Selma is Iraqi. She was born Muslim. I don't believe she is now, but her family is, and they're very strict and very conservative.'

'While she doesn’t necessarily have the same beliefs as her family, she definitely respects her family and their wishes. Just being on the show, as you'll see, is a huge deal for her.'
