Sizzling: Laura Dundovic showed off her VERY fit figure in a colourful high-cut bikini on New Year's Day as she posed on the beach

She was pictured kneeling on a blue towel placed on the sand with her arms loosely hanging to the side, accentuating her lithe limbs.

Laura pulled her golden tresses off her face and secured them into a ponytail, which sat under her backwards blue cap.

In November, the 29-year-old shared her fitness tips with Daily Mail Australia.

She recommended slowly making lasting changes instead of diving into a diet for a short term benefit, and making 'active choices'.

Long term decisions: Laura says it is best to make changes over time that will last as opposed to launching into diet and exercise only to achieve a short term goal

'Rather than going 'I want to look good for summer or for a holiday', it's better to actually over the years start making some changes for a better life,' she said.

'For me, I like to make active choices. I enjoy exercise, but I also go for walks or runs with friends - if I go for coffee with a friend, I'll be like "lets run there".'

Laura said prepping her meals in advance helps her stay on the right track with eating healthy foods.

'I find if I'm prepared I'm more likely to behave,' she said.

Always ready! The 29-year-old says she finds sticking to a healthy diet is easiest when she prepares her meals in advance

Aside from her personal training certification, Laura also has a degree in Psychology from Macquarie University.

She says after finishing a fitness qualification, it's not uncommon for friends and family to ask for help drafting an exercise plan or with training.

Laura joked it was a stark contrast to the way people responded to her other qualification.

'It's funny, you study psychology and nobody asks for your help then,' she laughed.

Help wanted: Laura joked her friends and family were happy to capitalise on her fitness qualification... but not her psychology degree
