Ansel Elgort enjoyed a productive New Year's Day, which he spent with his girlfriend Violetta Komyshan at South Beach in Miami.

For much of his day by the water, the 22-year-old whipped off his shirt and worked on honing his figure at a climbing frame.

Once he'd got fully dressed again, he wrapped his arms around his latest squeeze and planted a kiss on her lips.

The Divergent star seemed the picture of cheer as he strolled across the sand, his black shorts sagging a bit over what appeared to be Calvin Klein knickers.

In addition to the climbing frame, the actor - who'd popped on high top white trainers - was also spotted dangling from a large pole.

He ultimately pulled on a T-shirt that was entirely white at the top third, and at the bottom two thirds featured blocks of blue, green and red over a grey field.

Meanwhile, his 20-year-old girlfriend had got on an Oxford blue bikini and a pair of unobtrusive gleaming earrings.

On New Year's Eve, he'd posted an Instagram photo of the two of them together. He embraced her from behind as she beamed in a gold sequined miniskirt.

He'd donned a white T-shirt, and they both had festive gear: her sunglasses were in the shape of the digits 2017, and he'd worn a party hat reading 'Happy New Year.'

The couple have known each other since they were at Fiorello H. Laguardia High School Of Music & Art and Performing Arts together in Manhattan.

Though they'd split up during the latter half of 2014, they reignited their romance in five months and have remained together ever since.
