He found fleeting fame as the star of Jon And Kate Plus 8.

But reality television personality Jon Gosselin had to make to with half of his famous brood as he saw in 2017 in Pennsylvania.

The desperate 39-year-old grinned as he held a selfie stick while surrounded by his family in the Instagram shot.

Among those in the picture were his children Aaden, Joel, Hannah and Leah, all 12-years-old, and his latest squeeze Colleen.

Jon, who was divorced by his wife in 2009 amid cheating claims, has complained he never gets to see all of his children at once any more.

He claimed he 'can't do anything' about the 'unfair' arrangement, adding he hardly speaks to his former wife.

Jon added: ' '"How come you only get four kids?" Because who I get is who I get.'

Indeed he alleged he had not saw his 12-year-old son Colin for almost a year, even though they have a custody agreement granting him weekly dinners and overnight stays.

Whoever comes through that gate or gets off that bus is who I get. And Collin is homeschooled, so he doesn't get off a bus.'

Since their split Jon has struggled to reinvent himself, though he now works as a disc jockey at pubs in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

His 41-year-old former other half meanwhile has gone from strength-to-strength in the fiefdom of reality television.

Her show Kate Plus 8 continues to air on the TLC channel, and has now lasted for a whopping 10 seasons, including the original show starring Jon.
