Jake Gyllenhaal maintains his toned physique with a New Year's Eve run while on holiday in St. Barts 

With four films set for release in 2017, Jake Gyllenhall is treating himself to a relaxing vacation ahead of grueling press tours.

But tte 36-year-old chose not to lose sight of his fitness routine, making sure to maintain his toned physique during the festive season.

On Saturday, the actor headed out for a New Year's Eve run while on holiday in St. Barts.

Jake was surely in the zone as he maintained focus on his jog. 

The Demolition star displayed his gym-toned arms in a sleeveless, Nike top. 

The actor added a pair of coordinating shorts and athletic trainers to complete his fitness look.

The two, who have been friends for over a decade, have been enjoying the holiday together, having taken in the waves during surfing and swim sessions on Tuesday and Friday. 

The Nightcrawler actor surely deserved his vacation, as the upcoming year will be a busy one for him.

The actor is currently filming the Paul Dano-directed drama, Wildlife, alongside Carey Mulligan. 

Jake will also star in the based-on-a-true-story movie, Stronger, as Jeff Bauman, a Boston Marathon bombing victim who assists police in catching the terrorists.

Additionally, he'll appear alongside Lilly Collins and Tilda Swinton in Okja as well as Ryan Reynolds in Life.

Jake has also been announced to star in the action flick, The Division, which is set for a 2018 release.
