The horrific accident occurred just after Thanksgiving and the baby was rushed to Yale Medical Center for what she described as 'two harrowing days' of emergency care and testing.

She said on her website blog HappilyEvaAfter.com that she has subsequently suffered from nausea and dizzy spells as well as panic attacks and sleeplessness, and believes she may have 'some form' of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

She told her critics: 'I sincerely wish that 2017 brings you enough self love and confidence that you no longer feel the need to tear down another person during their darkest moment.'

'It is so moving to know there are so many of you who are wishing our sweet boy well, and who are rooting us on as a family,' the 31-one-year-old wrote.

'Nobody gets an award at the end of all of it for doing it the best or most perfect way. All that matters is how we make our children feel, how we feel about them, and how we feel about ourselves as parents,' she added.

Eva, 31, has two children with sports broadcaster husband Kyle Martino.

In addition to baby Major, the couple are parents to two-year-old daughter Marlowe.

Thankfully, she said, her son appears to have no ongoing issues as a result of his injuries, saying on her blog Sunday he is 'completely fine', 'healing well' and 'hitting milestones'.
