She was recently seen shopping in London with her rocker beau Johnny Lloyd - having split from her husband Laurence Fox in May.

But Billie Piper decided to fly solo on Thursday, as she headed on a dog walk without her boyfriend or two children in tow.

The actress, 34, went make-up free as she enjoyed a stroll around North London in the crisp winter sunshine - keeping a low profile in chunky winter wear.

The Doctor Who actress opted for warm and practical knitted clothing to shield herself from the cold, and kept things casual by going make-up free.

Billie sported casual grey leggings and a chunky black coat to keep the look toned-down, before adding smarter studded leather boots to her feet.

She then added a cosy monochrome scarf and a woolly hat, to protect herself from the icy surroundings as she embarked on a morning stroll with her pooch.

While she pulled her scarf across her mouth for extra warmth, the Yerma actress' clear and glowing complexion was still clear to see as she headed out fresh-faced.

Enjoying a walk in the sunshine with her dog, the star was then seen bundling the animal into her car before the pair headed for home.

Billie has enjoyed a quiet festive period this year after she saw the breakdown of her marriage in May.

The actress and Laurence Fox announced their separation in March, and divorced in May on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.

However speaking to MailOnline last month, Laurence revealed that their two children - Winston, 8, and Eugene, four - had spent Christmas with Billie, marking his first festive celebration alone in eight years.

He exclusively revealed: 'Santa has kindly agreed to come a day early this year, which is very kind of him.

'So he's coming on the 23rd because we've done a deal. Then, the kids are off to their mum's the next day.

'It will be my first year without [the boys] so I'll have to check in with other divorced people. Perhaps I'll go down to my mum and dad's.'

Since the split, Billie appears to have found love with Tribes frontman Johnny Lloyd - with the pair being spotted on numerous days and nights out together in London.
