It is not often Justin Timberlake is overshadowed at a showbusiness event.

But his elegant wife Jessica Biel managed it with ease as the couple attended the W Magazine Golden Globes party in Hollywood on Thursday.

The glamour couple seemed to lap up the attention as they mingled with the guests at the showpiece event at the upmarket Chateau Marmont hotel.

One of the biggest trends this winter is velvet.

This luxe fabric has made a serious comeback with high end designers like Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Givenchy, Balmain, Tom Ford and Roland Mouret all including it in their current collections.

The Illusionist star Jessica, 34, looked in fine form indeed in a black velvet off the shoulder gown, which she coupled with a clasp purse.

And going against his famous song title, Justin, 35, opted against wearing a Suit And Tie combo, eschewing the latter in favour a more casual pullover, which he combined with a beanie hat.

Given the Golden Globes is just days away, Justin is no doubt growing more and more excited, as he is up for best original song for Can’t Stop The Feeling from Trolls.

However he has some stiff competition, most notably from famed Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda for How Far I’ll Go from Moana.

It is their second public outing in the space of a few days, with the pair putting on a remarkably amorous display as they watched a rare Los Angeles Lakers win on Tuesday.

The Can't Stop The Feeling singer was distracted by his gorgeous wife as she shimmied in front of him in their VIP box.

They were also seen staring into each others eyes, giggling as they leaned in for a smooch, with funster Jessica sticking her tongue out at one point as they locked lips.

The PDA seemed to do the trick, cheering Justin up as his hometown team, which he has been a minority owner in since 2012, lost 102-116 to the Lakers.
