It may be a serious event, but Courtney Love still knows how to make an impact on the red carpet.

The 52-year-old had a licence to frill in a ruffle-trimmed red Gucci outfit at the 6th Annual Sean Penn & Friends Haiti Rising Gala Benefit in Los Angeles.

And clearly frills were the fashion orders of the night as Elizabeth Olsen showcased her stunning figure in a feminine frill and lace gown.

Sean Penn brought a few of his celebrity friends to his annual Haiti Rising Benefit Gala in LA with a guest list than included Courtney Love, Lily Collins, Rachel Zoe and Diane Kruger.

Also in attendance was Elizabeth Olsen who wore a pajama inspired outfit by Jean Paul Gaultier for the upscale event.

The lace trimmed slipdress was covered in a beautiful butterfly print and it had a dramatic train flowing in the back. Elizabeth teamed it with a pair of silky striped trousers, but we'd just as soon wear it with bare legs and a pair of nude stilettos.
