Cara Santana dazzles in stunning ruched gown as she joins hunky fiancé Jesse Metcalfe at glitzy art bash

They have been a couple for a blissful eight years before getting engaged in August.

And Cara Santana and her dashing beau Jesse Metcalfe looked as loved-up as ever as they hit the red carpet at The Art of Elysium 'HEAVEN' 20th Anniversary Celebration in LA on Saturday night. 

The 32-year-old Salem actress oozed sophistication in a chic powder blue gown, while her Desperate Housewives star fiancé, 38, looked sharp in a grey suit.

Cara proved her high-fashion style credentials in her chic gown which was simple in design yet made a huge impact while she rubbed shoulders with the stars.

The strapless dress comprised of a stiff silk material with a boned top which sat high above her cleavage to make her slender shoulders and toned arms the main pull.

A ruched detail at the waist gathered on one hip and provided the only simple yet stand-out addition to the stunning gown. 

Adding in the ruching meant Cara's incredibly slender waist was highlighted to perfection while also adding a showstopping finish.

Stepping out like a siren of the silver screen, Cara Santana made quite the entrance in this stunning strapless Marchesa gown.

Keeping it simple yet sophisticated, Cara chose to to flatter her figure in this ruched number that elegantly fell to the ground in a soft asymmetrical slope.

Marchesa is always a red- carpet favorite so it was no surprise that Cara turned to the New York based label to make a statement at last night's Elysian party.

Keeping her accessories muted, the delicate earrings cascaded in a simple drop, while she clutched a small purse. 

Her brunette locks sat dead straight while falling behind her shoulders to help show off her chest to full effect.

Shunning a classic shirt and tie, he simply wore a white shirt buttoned up to the neck with his grey suit featuring a black lapel. 

The event, where tickets sold for $5,000 per person, was an artistic installation curated by chosen visionary, Stevie Wonder. The Visionary is selected based upon their contribution creatively to the community.

Other stars in attendance included Kristen Bell and Rumer Willis.

In August Jesse popped the question to Cara aboard a 50-foot sailboat as they cruised the Hudson river in New York, where he was equipped with a stunning 5.5-carat emerald cut diamond ring.

The whole evening was meticulously planned for the surprise proposal, right down to having their song - Eric Clapton's Pretty Girl - play in the background as they watched the sun set.

Jesse told US Weekly: 'It's been a long time coming, but we couldn't be happier'. It was a weekend of double celebrations for Cara, who thought the set-up was just part of her birthday party.
