The 36-year-old wife of Kanye West was robbed at gunpoint of about 9million euros worth of jewellery by masked men who tied her up in her apartment in the French capital early on October 3. There are reports this morning that up to 16 people were arrested in all over the robbery, in part thanks to DNA traces left behind. The perpetrators, some disguised as police officers, fled from the scene on foot and on bicycles. Days after the raid, a gemstone was found outside the Paris apartment (inset, bottom), having apparently been dropped there by thieves. Before the robbery, Kardashian (left after the robbery) posted images of a £3.5m ring (inset top, and right) that was stolen.

Resorts face being forced to switch off their snow cannons because water reserves have been depleted by the scramble to get enough artificial powder on pistes for skiers to use amid unusually high temperatures in France and Switzerland (pictured). Paramedics taking 86-year-old great Brenda Wilding to hospital pulled over to rescue the 'cold wet' labrador from the side of the road. The journey then continued with Mrs Wilding vomiting from a severe gallbladder condition while a paramedic tried to stop the 'hyper' dog from leaping on her. The pensioner had dialled 999 from her home in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, on November 12 after doubling over with pain. But when the ambulance was taking her along the A10 to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, it suddenly pulled over. And 'severe overcrowding' saw Britain's busiest interchange Clapham Junction evacuated amid chaotic scenes. Even London Mayor Sadiq Khan could not avoid the chaos as the strike delayed his interview on BBC Radio 4. Meanwhile Uber passengers also had no joy as drivers quadrupled their prices to take advantage of the chaos.

Bemused passengers on the tube awkwardly averted their gaze today as hundreds of commuters stripped down to their underwear across London for the bizarre annual tradition. An open invitation was issued to exhibitionists to join others meeting in central London before they took off their trousers and made their way to the Piccadilly Line and boarded tubes across the capital. This comes ahead of the London underground grinding to a halt during crippling 24 hour strike action, starting this evening, which is set to leave thousands of people stranded during Monday morning rush hour.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California on Sunday night. Stars who missed the mark included Emily Ratajkowski, Felicity Jones and Olivia Culpo as well as the likes of Diana Madison, who looked like a fish out of water, Renee Bargh in a floral and sheer terror and Karrueche Tran in shiny eye-searing hot pink.

Esteban Santiago, 26, has been seen in surveillance footage pulling out his handgun and shooting dead five people and wounding another six inside Fort Lauderdale airport. Santiago (inset) opened fire inside the baggage claim at Terminal 2 of the Florida airport on Friday afternoon. Shocking surveillance footage, first obtained by TMZ, shows the Iraq war veteran calmly walk into shot before pulling the pistol from his waistband. He then begins firing, appearing to be aiming initially at a man in front of him. Santiago then runs out of the frame as people desperately take shelter. The 26-year-old could face the death penalty after being accused of an act of violence at an international airport resulting in death, and weapons charges. The new video was the second released from inside the terminal, after one that emerged on Friday (left and right) showed people taking cover as shots rang out.

Abul Bajandar, from Khulna, Bangladesh, has had at least 16 operations to remove 11 lbs of growths from his hands and feet since his condition came to doctors' attention a year ago. The 27-year-old former rickshaw driver (left, before the operations and, right, after) is one of only four people in the world ever to be diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition dubbed 'tree-man disease' that left him unable to hold his three-year-old daughter. Samanta Lal Sen, plastic surgery coordinator at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said he hoped the patient could become the first person to be cured of the disease, provided the warts do not grow back.

Fairytale Of New York singer Shane MacGowan today joined family and friends at the funeral of his mother after her death in a car crash. Therese MacGowan (inset with her Shane), 87, died on New Year's Day when she smashed car into a wall near home in Co Tipperary, Ireland. Jemma Low, 30, and Keith Weston (pictured together), 65, from Ipswich, Suffolk, met at a friend's house in 2009 and she immediately noticed his 'chiselled jaw' and thought he was a 'silver fox'. They got together shortly afterwards and now have and have a four-year-old son, Thomas. But since he was born, people have mistaken Mr Weston for Miss Low's grandfather. Beleaguered residents can finally breathe easily in their own homes after the removal of a 20,000-tonne rubbish heap - which was like 'living next to rotting corpses'. The litter heap on the former Waste4Fuel site in Orpington, Kent, had been left to fester for several years, creating a risk which saw fire crews regularly sent out to tackle hotspots which would erupt into flames. Neighbours in the cul-de-sac joining the site described it as a 'living nightmare' due to the horrific smells coming from the 40ft (12m) high and 60ft (18m) wide heap.

Park life in Britain is about to improve, thanks to a £33million Lottery cash injection. The Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund announced the grant to restore and revitalise 13 public parks across the UK, including those in Great Yarmouth, Scarborough, Ramsgate, Fleetwood and Brighton. Morris dancers have celebrated the ancient custom of wassailing, said to prepare orchards for the new year. Members of the Leominster Morris performed the ceremony with black face make-up. They led a procession to an orchard near Tenbury Wells, in Worcestershire, to bless trees with a good crop and to frighten away evil spirits.
