The new Davina? Scarlett Moffatt to step into McCall's shoes and present a new version of Streetmate as she lands big money deal to host TWO TV shows

She's gone from the couch of Gogglebox to become queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. 

And now Scarlett Moffatt has landed a big money deal to host two Channel Four shows.

The 26-year-old reality star will host a rebooted version of Streetmate which was originally fronted by Davina McCall back in 1998.

And she'll also co-present a new pilot show with Chatty Man star Alan Carr.

'I remember watching Davina on Streetmate when I was younger and thinking females can present entertainment shows too,' Scarlett told The Sunday Mirror. 'I want to do that when I’m older.'

'It’s such a fun show and it’s two of my favourite things to do, chat to randomers and a love story.'

Airing on Channel Four from 1998 to 2001, the show saw Davina pick an eligible contestant from the street, then approach eligible members of the public for a date. 

The show made a brief return from September to October 2007 where Holly Willoughby took over hosting duties.  

Along with her burgeoning TV presenting career, the star has also made inroads into the health and fitness market with her DVD Superslim Me Plan.

Scarlett was spurred into losing weight this year, after the shock discovery that she was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

Through her strict diet and exercise regime, Scarlett slimmed down from a size 18 to a size 8 in just six months. 

And as well as giving her body a makeover, she found love in boyfriend Luke Crodden.
