The 36-year-old wife of Kanye West was robbed at gunpoint of about 9million euros worth of jewellery by masked men who tied her up in her apartment in the French capital early on October 3. There are reports this morning that up to 16 people were arrested in all over the robbery, in part thanks to DNA traces left behind. The perpetrators, some disguised as police officers, fled from the scene on foot and on bicycles. Days after the raid, a gemstone was found outside the Paris apartment (inset, bottom), having apparently been dropped there by thieves. Before the robbery, Kardashian (left after the robbery) posted images of a £3.5m ring (inset top, and right) that was stolen.

Apple customers across the world have reported incidents of finding coins inside their MacBooks (a variety pictured), and nobody is sure exactly why this is happening. Some have suggested the money has fallen inside the laptops. While others have blamed a conspiracy started by the California-based company or, an even more extreme theory, witchcraft.

Digital content producers Zachary Bennett and Karen Nourse have lived for free in their $4,754.02-per-month flat on West 26th Street. They have been living there since June 2010. Back then, there were other residential units in the nine-story building, but now there are only businesses and art galleries. Now, their landlord says it's time to pay out the $410,000 they owe or get out. But their lawyer Margaret Sandercock claims: 'They're entitled to be there.' Bennett and Nourse don't think they should have to pay because of Loft Law. Loft Law is designed to protect people living illegally in commercial or factory buildings. The law was created to bring these buildings up to fire codes and to give rights and rent protection to the tenants. Lawyers representing the landlord say the pair can stay in the unit if they pay, and insist the property is legal.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California on Sunday night. Stars who missed the mark included Emily Ratajkowski, Felicity Jones and Olivia Culpo as well as the likes of Diana Madison, who looked like a fish out of water, Renee Bargh in a floral and sheer terror and Karrueche Tran in shiny eye-searing hot pink.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone gave very emotional speeches as they led La La Land to a very impressive record-breaking showing at the Golden Globes. The two stars each accepted the Best Performance by an Actor and Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy gongs as the musical as a whole took the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy award for a clean sweep of seven gongs at the event held at iconic The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The impressive mark is also historic as it is now the most decorated film in the 74 year history of the event beating out a five-way tie of five with classics including: Doctor Zhivago (1965), Love Story (1970), The Godfather (1972), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), and A Star is Born (1976).

They walked the red carpet sheltered by a plastic tent, under brooding grey skies which threatened heavy rain. But the stars of Hollywood made no concession to the stormy weather, as they strutted their stuff in a dazzling array of couture gowns at the 74th Golden Globes on Sunday. Bringing a flash of silver were Drew Barrymore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sofia Vergara and Nicole Kidman, in what was unmistakably the colour of the night. 

Ryan Seacrest appeared to snub Australian star Keith Urban in a very awkward exchange at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. As Keith arrived at the event with wife Nicole Kidman, the TV and radio personality made it clear he wanted to interview Nicole first.  'I'm going to get to you in a second,' the popular host said to Keith.

And it seems all is not forgiven going by Laura Dern's expression as ex Billy Bob Thornton squeezed past her to accept his award at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday, pictured main. Twitter erupted (tweets pictured inset) following the awkward incident, which occurred after he won the best actor in a television series gong for his Amazon show Goliath, in which he plays an alcoholic lawyer who fights for the little guy. The former couple are pictured together inset in 1999.

A massive storm ravaging through the West Coast isn't over yet as the region expects a second storm to hit Monday night. So far 1,300 Nevada homes have been evacuated and mudslide fears have caused two major highways in California to close. The weather has caused several trees to topple in Sacramento (left) and cleanup crews are working to clear the debris. Motorists have been pulled from vehicles in flooded California waters and the Truckee River in Reno has major concerns (bottom right).

The historic Pioneer Cabin in Calaveras Big Trees State Park in Calaveras County, California, came down during heavy rains on Sunday at about 2pm local time. The West Coast was hit this weekend with one of the biggest storms in the last decade, causing thousands of people to evacuate their homes. There was no immediate word on what caused the tree to fall, but it is believed that it had to do with the tree's shallow root system and the inundation. The tree has stood in the state park since the 1800s, when was first hollowed out for visitors to pass through it.

Donald Trump is demanding an even larger naval fleet than what he had promoted on the campaign trail. The 355-ship proposal could require an additional $5bn to $5.5bn in annual spending in the Navy's 30-year projection. The Navy currently has 274 deployable ships, still fewer than it's old goal of 308 ships.

Hillary Clinton was greeted with three rounds of applause when she was spotted in the audience of The Color Purple/ The former Democratic presidential nominee was a special guest in the audience as the production bid farewell to Broadway. A 30-year-old woman has shed an astonishing 77lbs (5st 7lbs) in just 16 months after discovering undiagnosed food allergies had led to her piling on the pounds. Katrina Buening, from Springfield, Missouri, struggled with her size from a young age - with her weight eventually ballooning to 238lbs (17 stone), pictured left. Katrina, who is now an online health and fitness coach and weighs a svelte 161lbs (11st 7lbs), pictured right, had been dieting in vain since the age of 13.

It's supposed to make life easier - but owners of the new Amazon Echo have fallen foul of the high-tech gadgets' automatic features. Owners of the device been warned after a number accidentally ordered dolls houses that were being discussed on a TV show. Six-year-old Brooke Neitzel (pictured), from Dallas, Texas, gave her mother the shock of her life when she received a confirmation email for an order of a $170 Kidcraft house and more than four pounds of cookies. But then TV reports of the incident apparently triggered exactly the same error in devices being used by viewers.

Esteban Santiago, 26, has been seen in surveillance footage pulling out his handgun and shooting dead five people and wounding another six inside Fort Lauderdale airport. Santiago (inset) opened fire inside the baggage claim at Terminal 2 of the Florida airport on Friday afternoon. Shocking surveillance footage (main), first obtained by TMZ, shows the Iraq war veteran calmly walk into shot before pulling the pistol from his waistband. He then begins firing, appearing to be aiming initially at a man in front of him. Santiago then runs out of the frame as people desperately take shelter. The 26-year-old could face the death penalty after being accused of an act of violence at an international airport resulting in death, and weapons charges.

Tina and Ike Turner's former home in Los Angeles has sold for $870,000. The four-bed was bought by the singing duo in 1964, but the A-list couple sold the property after their divorce. Incredibly, it has been preserved by the current owners who purchased the pad from the stars in 1977. The seventies time-capsule home has been decked with vintage velvet, and includes a waterfall in the family room which once held koi fish, a wet bar, and a circular drive.

Across the world thousands of commuters rode transit systems in just their underwear for the 16th anniversary of the No Pants Subway Ride. The freezing temperatures and snowy weather did not hinder New York and Boston riders from stripping down to their under garments. Dozens of cities participated, including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, as well as London and Paris. Participants are told to get on trains and act as they normally would and are given an assigned point to take off their pants. They're asked to keep a straight face and respond matter-of-factly to anyone who asks them if they're cold.

'Spy in the Wild' is set to preview on UK screens on Thursday, and a new advert shows what is in store. In one of the most adorable scenes, a group of langur monkeys mistakes a robot as one of its own, and even goes into a state of grief when the robot is mistakenly dropped from a height. Other creatures taking centre stage in the series will include crocodiles, ostriches, orangutans and meerkats.

Abul Bajandar, from Khulna, Bangladesh, has had at least 16 operations to remove 11 lbs of growths from his hands and feet since his condition came to doctors' attention a year ago. The 27-year-old former rickshaw driver (left, before the operations and, right, after) is one of only four people in the world ever to be diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition dubbed 'tree-man disease' that left him unable to hold his three-year-old daughter. Samanta Lal Sen, plastic surgery coordinator at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said he hoped the patient could become the first person to be cured of the disease, provided the warts do not grow back.

This is the moment diver Kerry Daniel was almost savaged by a bull shark off the coast of Queensland after the predator charged at him and forced him to jam a spear gun into its mouth.Terrifying video shows Daniel rotating in the water before the shark emerges from the sea bed and swims toward him at speed. The creature then opens its mouth for a bite, but ends up chewing on a spear gun instead.

Tao Porchon-Lynch (pictured), 98, is the world's oldest yoga instructor. Now, the spirited yogi, who was raised in India and lives in New York, has shared her advice and the mantras she swears by in life. 'When you wake up every morning say "this is going to be the best day of my life" and it will be,' Mrs Porchon-Lynch says. Yoga isn't the only craft Mrs Porchon-Lynch has mastered however, with the yogi also talented at ballroom dancing. She was also a fashion model in her youth and acted in movies including 1951's Show Boat and 1954 film The Last Time I saw Paris, starring Elizabeth Taylor.

NEW Fozzy, who lives with a specialised breeder in Cherry Valley, California, is happily playing with his ball when his older sister Frita decides she wants it. Without warning she sits on her younger brother's head and steals his toy. The video was posted on Fozzy's Instragram page by owner Melissa Mooney. The puppy has become a star on the photo sharing site after being born with a rare gene that means his fur is longer than usual.

CCTV from the office in Massachusetts, USA, shows the man bringing the e-cigarette to his face before the bottom explodes in a cloud of sparks and smoke. The video was posted online by the man's boss who claimed his employee received 12 stitches in his face after the accident.

He has gone viral on Twitter and Instagram, with millions watching sensual videos of him chopping up meat. Bruno Mars has helped his rise to fame by retweeting one picture on Twitter.

An $800,000 yacht up for auction with a $1 reserve has attracted its female seller in New Zealand a marriage proposal, swaps for land a top bid of more than half a million with a week to go on the sale. Fiona Campbell (inset) is selling the Ruah (pictured), a former Australian Navy boat with a luxurious refit. She bought the 1944 vessel for her ex-husband but she's aiming for a fresh start in 2017 and wants the 20-metre boat gone. Currently berthed in Wellington, the Ruah has six cabins, beds for 14 people, two showers and all the creature comforts of a house - as well as the seaworthiness to cross the Tasman in heavy seas.

Australian-born Crown Princess Mary's twins - Vincent and Josephine - have celebrated their sixth birthday. To celebrate, the Royal family released new black-and-white portraits of the pair (left), and with their blonde hair and blue eyes, there is no mistaking their likeness. The twins were born to Mary and her husband Prince Frederik on January 8, 2011. They were pictured at their Christening on April 14, 2011 (top right), and again on board The Royal Yacht at seven months old (bottom right), before travelling to Australia at 10 months. Today the twins are known for stealing with spotlight, with a cheeky Josephine often pulling faces or dancing for the camera.

A leopard soars through the air with her front legs spread like wings as she hunts a warthog. The female predator almost seemed to be flying as she pounced on her prey. The leopard had been stalking the unsuspecting warthog and followed him out of sight into the bushes. Suddenly the two animals burst from the bush, with the leopard in pursuit of the wild pig, who realised he could not outrun his pursuer and turned to confront her. The creatures then faced each other in a tense two minute stand-off, before the big cat pounced. Photographer Peter Thompson captured these breathtaking action shots in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya.

Staffordshire terrier cross Kuta, circled in red, loves the ocean. She feels at home paddling with the dolphins at Esperance, off the West Australian coast. The two-year-old rescue dog also befriended a seal. Her owner Erin Cummings, pictured inset with Kuta, takes her paddleboarding every morning and occasionally has to call her to come back in.

Austin Howell, a 29-year-old personal trainer from Atlanta, Georgia, scaled a 350 feet cliff in Linville Gorge, North Carolina, wearing just a hat. Austin (pictured) said: 'Sometimes I feel like folks take climbing too seriously and just need to lighten up, so I wanted to make something short, pointless, and humorous.'
