The actress dressed in a plunging satin cream frock with a corseted body which she matched with teetering stilettos.

Her sleek golden tresses fell down her back from an off-centre parting, while a touch of colour on her cheeks brightened up her porcelain complexion.

She was in fine spirits, smiling and waving as she made her way past the cameras and into the venue.

As if the awards ceremony itself wasn't a fashion fest enough, the Golden Globes after-party at LA's Chateau Marmont hotel proved to have even more style hits with the A-listers pulling out all the stops to celebrate into the wee hours.

Amongst them was Elle Fanning who looked super chic in a pale yellow embellished fit and flare midi dress teamed with coordinating Louboutin heels and a silver clutch bag.

The famous actress had a busy 2016, with roles in four films, and 2017 is continuing in the same vein, with five more to come.

The Maleficent star has a handful of pictures coming out in the next few months, including Live By Night which hits theatres this month.

It co-stars Ben Affleck, who also directed the movie, and Zoe Saldana.

She told Page 6: 'I just finished The Beguiled, the first film Sofia Coppola’s made in a few years starring Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Colin Farrell. It’s a remake of Clint Eastwood’s movie from 1971.

'It’s set in the Civil War era. A soldier from the North hides in a girls’ school in the South. My period clothes had so many tiny, tiny buttons, so small I could not dress alone. I had to be careful I didn’t rip any.

'And there’s lots of sex in this movie.'
