A tempestuous New York City marital drama has seen the wife of famed photographer Peter Beard allegedly get her husband thrown in a psych ward as revenge for bringing home Russian prostitutes.

He was accompanied by two Russian prostitutes.

Peter Beard was taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital for an involuntary stay in 2013 it was revealed during the hearing. The couple are seen above

One woman refused to leave his apartment and that's when wife Nejma Beard, 60, and the couple's daughter awoke, the New York Post reported.

In a deposition, the couple's acquaintance Eva Bastianon said: 'When [Peter] woke up Nejma Beard was standing over him and screaming, "Call 911, he's attempting suicide."'

A 'perfect' story? Peter Beard awoke following his night of partying at Manhattan's Provocateur nightclub to his wife calling police saying he was 'attempting suicide'

Peter Beard was then taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital for an involuntary stay.

The drama unfolded as part of a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit Peter Beard filed against Chase.

The suit alleges that Beard was sick and not able to make a handshake deal to sell three of his photos to Chase.

Bernie Chase is currently locked in a legal battle with Peter Beard, which caused the sordid family drama to be revealed

It further alleges that Chase stole the photos following a photo shoot Beard conducted in fall 2013 that was organized by friends of Chase, the NY Daily News reported.

Beard's lawyer stated that he did not know who had taken the photographs until they were shown in a Chelsea art gallery opening.

Chase claims to have purchased the photos for more than $100,000 through Beard's former assistant, Natalie White.

Chase's legal council has argued that Beard's stint in hospital is 'relevant to his credibility and should be fully explored.'
