  • Terrified by the response, the would-be robber runs from the store

This is the moment an armed robber ran away in fear after a liquor store owner coolly pulled a gun on the suspect.

The masked man brazenly walked into Madison Wine & Spirits in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at around 10pm on December 2.

He slowly drew his weapon at a woman behind the counter and demanded money.

She didn't look fazed by the situation, butt initially complied with his request and started taking money from the cash register.

Seconds later, the white-haired store owner standing at the other end of the counter is seen coolly pulling out his weapon and pointing it at the would-be thief.

The suspect - wearing a beanie hat, a coat pulled up over his face, sweat pants and sneakers - sees the firearm aimed at him and he flinches in shock.

Looking scared, he quickly runs out of the door and into the street.

A second surveillance camera outside the store captured him sprinting away from the store.

He left without taking any money or alcohol.

The robber then gets in a white sedan and flees the scene.

Police are still appealing for witnesses and the suspect is still on the loose.
