'I'm your biggest fan!' Beyonce grills sister Solange on growing up, becoming an independent woman and even the Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Growing up in the Knowles house was like growing up in a greenhouse for talent, something these two know better than anyone.

Beyonce has taken on the role of journalist to delve into her sister Solange's world for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.

With her big sister at the wheel, the 30-year-old indie music darling did not hold back when discussing her drive to create and her surprising love of reality television.

Steal from the boys like Solange with her David Hart suit

Take a seat at the table (we had to!) and listen long and hard ladies. Menswear is a perennial trend that never goes out of style. N.E.V.E.R.

Look no further than this Interview Magazine shoot with Solange Knowles who posed in a series of outfits inspired by the boys.

This tan two-piece suit is in fact by NYC based menswear designer, David Hart and she looked super chic and stylish with a tonal knit top by Miu Miu.

It's all devil in the details when it comes to blazers and trousers and by that we mean extra sharp tailoring which is a David Hart specialty.

Suiting can be sexy too, if you're looking to take things to the next level, think about pairing it with a low cut blouse and some pumps for a dressed up look.

Sadly, Solange's exact look won't be available for purchase till later this year but in the meantime why don't you click right to explore the brand or shop similar blazers in the edit below!

Laid bare: With her big sister at the wheel, the 30-year-old indie music darling (seen here May) did not hold back when discussing her drive to create and her surprising love of reality TV

While it has long been suggested that Solange struggled growing up in her big sister's shadow, it seems it was Beyonce who looked up to the younger member of the Knowles family.

Beyonce kicked off their chat by saying: 'I'm so happy to interview you because, clearly, I'm your biggest fan and I'm super proud of you.'

The Single Ladies hitmaker says she knew early on her sister was going to be 'going to be something super special' as she even at 10, Solange was 'obsessed with Alanis Morissette and Minnie Riperton and mixing prints with your clothes'.

Solange says she was just drawn to expressing herself: 'I remember having so much perspective about my voice, and how to use my voice, at such a young age - whether it was through dance, poetry, or coming up with different projects.

Determined: Beyonce recalled her sister always seemed to know what she wanted with Solange saying, 'I guess a part of that was being the baby of the family and being adamant that, in a house of five, my voice was being heard'

'I guess I always felt a yearning to communicate - I had a lot of things to say. And I appreciated y'all's patience in the house during all of these different phases. They were not ever very introverted, quiet phases.'

Happy to tolerate her little sister's less than quiet stages, the 35-year-old recalled the Seat At The Table creator always seeming to know what she wanted.

Making them both laugh, Solange says: 'I always knew what I wanted. We damn sure know that I wasn't always right. But I'd sit firm, whether I was right or wrong.

Strong women: Solange says her mother Tina and Beyonce are intuitive people and have inspired her to be the same she also credits Beyonce and her mom for making her realise the power of being your own boss

'I guess a part of that was being the baby of the family and being adamant that, in a house of five, my voice was being heard. Another part is that I remember being really young and having this voice inside that told me to trust my gut. And my gut has been really, really strong in my life. It's pretty vocal and it leads me. Sometimes I haven't listened, and those times didn't end up very well for me.

Solange says her mother Tina and Beyonce are intuitive people and have inspired her to be the same she also credits Beyonce and her mom for making her realise the power of being your own boss.

'Growing up in a household with a master class such as yourself definitely didn't hurt.

'And, as far back as I can remember, our mother always taught us to be in control of our voice and our bodies and our work, and she showed us that through her example. If she conjured up an idea, there was not one element of that idea that she was not going to have her hand in. She was not going to hand that over to someone.'

Plus Beyonce did a 'kickass job' of being a big sister, the singer/songwriter says.

'You were the most patient, loving, wonderful sister ever. In the 30 years that we've been together, I think we've only really, like, butted heads ... we can count on one hand.'

It is the lessons that she learnt from Queen B and her mom that she embraced as she looked back at her life, her mistakes and her success and wrote all the tracks for her latest album, A Seat At the Table, Solange tells her sister in the interview.

How to guide: While her big sister said she has always known the songwriter would be something very special, the 30-year-old maintains she had a wonderful example,  branding her sister a 'masterclass' in success

'For this record specifically, it really started with wanting to unravel some truths and some untruths. There were things that had been weighing heavy on me for quite some time. And I went into this hole, trying to work through some of these things so that I could be a better me and be a better mom to Julez and be a better wife and a better friend and a better sister.'

Everything about the album was though through, even the tone of Solange's voice was chosen for more than just how good it sounded.

'It was very intentional that I sang as a woman who was very in control, a woman who could have this conversation without yelling and screaming, because I still often feel that when black women try to have these conversations, we are not portrayed as in control, emotionally intact women, capable of having the hard conversations without losing that control.'

Did good: Beyonce did a 'kickass job' of being a big sister, the singer/songwriter says, In the 30 years that we've been together, I think we've only really, like, butted heads ... we can count on one hand'

The singer worked on the visuals for the album with her husband Alan Ferguson, something her big sis encouraged her to do.

While initially wary of mixing business with pleasure, Solange now says the experience 'was one I will cherish for the rest of my life'.

'I remember telling you years ago that I wanted to work with him, but I was scared because I felt like our relationship, by the grace of God, is the one thing that I can count on to be intact and to be solid.

Guilty pleasure: While Solange is known for her passion of avant garde culture and pushing boundaries, the singer is not all series all the time, telling Beyonce she loves Real Housewives Of Atlanta

'When I go out in the world, I know that when I come home, I'm going to find peace with him. And I didn't want any variable that could interrupt that.'

While Solange is known for her passion of avant garde culture and pushing boundaries, the singer is not all serious all the time.

When asked what makes her laugh the hardest, she confessed: 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta, hands-down. I watch it religiously, and I am in stitches the whole time.

'I love that show and think it's so brilliant because it's the woman that was represented in my childhood in Houston. It makes me feel so at home.'

Who is the NeNe? Solange watches the show 'religiously and I am in stitches the whole time' as it reminds her of growing up in Houston - even though they are geographically different
